I agree. The first house was that of a military man and his wife. During dusting of living room, I noted his picture in uniform and turned to say, “thank you for your service, sir” and he blushed shyly and appreciatively shrugged, like “anytime.” He was possibly 85-90 years old. His frail wife kept the home very tidy. I felt nothing but admiration for the two.
