I do feel badly for you, I really do, but why put yourself thru all that - family grief crap? What does it get you? SM

Why do you let that bother you? If you dont want to deal with questions or whatever, then simply dont go and dont take any "grief" about your child or why you didnt show up. The child is an adult, makes her own choices, and you can't control it. If the rest of the family is so worried about where she is or why she looks bad, then let them take charge of her life.

I cut that crap out of my life a long time ago, stopped worrying and hurting over what other people thought about my life or my choices. I'm much better off, have peace in my life, and nobody nagging my A about why am I doing or not doing this or that.

You're telling how much this hurts you, the questions, and then the "grief" so cut that crap out of your life. You cant apparently control your family, so shut it down.

Prayers that you find the strength to stand up for yourself and tell people to shove off with their nosy questions and whatever "grief" you allow them to heap on your shoulders.
