12,570 people died in the US in 2014 from gun violence.

6,700+ US soldiers have died in  Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan.

123,000+ civililan deaths in Iraq.

32,700+ car accident deaths in US 2013.

2 US Ebola deaths in US

129* died from terrorist attack in France.

;

129 is just France. You left out the rest of the world. ISIS also uses - guns. So your attempt to try and

demonize guns while downplaying the ISIS attack failed.

How many people in the US were saved by guns? How many people would have been saved in Paris if it wasn't a gun-free zone? Why does ISIS only target gun-free zones?

How does every civilian walking around with - a loaded gun make things "safer?" -s/m

Imagine being in a movie theatre where everyone is armed. Even if a gunman came in and started shooting, and someone with a gun was able to shoot him back, can you imagine the ensuing chain reaction? It would be like nuclear fission. Soon everyone would be shooting everyone else.

I'll pass on that kind of society.

I'll take my chances with a concealed carry any day - over a terrorist or fanatic

who wants to kill just to go down in a blaze of glory for fame.

At least I have a chance to fight back.
It doesn't matter whose bullet gets you, ISIS - or gun-toting civilian. Youre just as shot.

A person pointing a gun at a shooter is more likely to get shot, themselves.
I have never said to "take guns away" - gettiing real
[ In Reply To ..]
I just think they should all be registered; the blind, mentally ill, criminals and people who have restraining orders against them should have theirs taken away/held for safe keeping, and owners should be required to keep guns safe and have liability insurance on them. So does that sound like taking YOUR gun away?

Once you see what happens to the sheep, choose to - be a sheepdog. I'll keep

my conceal carry.
Most of the time they only give the carrier the - IMPRESSION theyre somehow safe.
[ In Reply To ..]
More often than not, a person who points a gun at another person who is already pointing a gun at them ends up getting shot.

So you prefer a society where only the gunman is armed. - ...and please don't say where no one is armed

[ In Reply To ..]
That ain't never gonna happen - and it's been tried, believe me. Ask the Australian police (e.g. New South Wales) about the number of guns they're running across on the street, even after they hamstrung their law-abiding citizens.

An armed population doesn't frighten me in the slightest, but a disarmed population does.
Even without guns, bad people would still - find a way to kill others. (sm)
[ In Reply To ..]
However, arming millions of citizens doesn't really change the ratio. If anything, it would put guns into the hands of more bad people who didn't have them before. It would also make more of them accessible to children. Once a person has one, the urge to use it is almost irresistible.

Breaking: 5 foreing nationals arrest on Ohio Turnpike. - Eight Syrian migrants captured at Texas

Border in Laredo.

Five foreign nationals were arrested on the Ohio Turnpike, WKBN in Youngstown reported. The arrests happened Friday in Braceville Township in Trumbull County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said troopers pulled over a car going east on the turnpike for making an improper lane change. During a search, troopers found a machine that helps create and duplicate credit cards, WKBW reported.

Jibril Abdiselam, 24; Mohammeddeq Hassan, 27; Mahamoud Mohamed, 26; Zakaria Warsame, 25, and Said Abu were charged with possessing criminal tools and forgery.

They are being held in the Trumbull County Jail on $25,000 bond each. All five had to surrender their passports.

Two federal agents operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are claiming that eight Syrian illegal aliens attempted to enter Texas from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. The federal agents spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity, however, a local president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) confirmed that Laredo Border Patrol agents have been officially contacting the organization with concerns over reports from other federal agents about Syrians illegally entering the country in the Laredo Sector. The reports have caused a stir among the sector’s Border Patrol agents.

The sources claimed that eight Syrians were apprehended on Monday, November 16, 2015. According to the sources, the Syrians were in two separate “family units” and were apprehended at the Juarez Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas, also known officially as Port of Entry 1.

Border Patrol agent and NBPC Local 2455 President Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas, “Border Patrol agents who we represent have been contacting our organization to voice concerns about reports from other agents that Syrians crossed the U.S. border from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. Our agents have heard about Syrians being apprehended in the area from other federal agents.” Agent Garza added, “At this time, I cannot confirm or deny that Syrians have crossed, for security reasons.”

Charleston attack, Obama claimed: “we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency.”

Senator Harry Reid made a similar statement on June 23rd: “The United States is the only advanced country where this type of mass violence occurs. Let’s do something. We can expand, for example, background checks. … We should support not giving guns to people who are mentally ill and felons.”

This claim is simply not true. Mass public shootings – defined as four or more people killed, and not in the course of committing another crime, and not involving struggles over sovereignty. The focus on excluding shootings that do not involve other crimes (e.g., gang fights or robberies) has been used from the original research by Lott and Landes to more recently the FBI) from 2009 to the Charleston massacre (this matches the starting period for another recent study we did on US shootings and we chose that because that was the starting point that Bloomberg’s group had picked). The cases were complied doing a news search. The starting year was picked simply because it match a report the time frame from a recent Bloomberg report and when we evaluated that report it was the last year we looked at Mass Public Shootings in the US starting in 2009.

The CPRC has also collected data on the worst mass public shootings, those cases where at least 15 people were killed in the attack.

There were 13 cases where at least 15 people were killed. Out of those cases, four were in the United States, two in Germany and two in the United Kingdom.

But the U.S. has a population four times greater than Germany’s and five times the U.K.’s, so on a per-capita basis the U.S. ranks low in comparison — actually, those two countries would have had a frequency of attacks 1.96 (Germany) and 2.46 (UK) times higher.

Small countries such as Norway, Israel and Australia may have only one major attack each, one-fourth of what the U.S. has suffered, but the US population is vastly greater. If they suffered attacks at a rate adjusted for their population, Norway, Israel and Australia would have had attacks that were respectively 16, 11, and 3 times greater than the US.

There is also the issue of what President Obama meant by “mass violence.” If you include bombings, many countries face many more bombings than the US does. Take just the bombing cases in Russia. Russia had few mass public shootings, but it suffered from numerous bomb attacks, with 1.31 mass bombing murders per million people.

There were people on this very board who were considering cowering in their bunkers then. If you're living in fear, then you're doing exactly what ISIS wants you to do.
