The utter stupidity (grandstanding) of
Posted: Apr 28, 2010
First, of course, but hardly worth mentioning since everyone already knows it perfectly well, is the fact that the Arizona law does NOTHING other than to mirror the Federal law that is not being enforced. To suggest that Arizonans should do NOTHING about the incredible wave of crime and violence related to illegal immigration is nothing but stupid and requires a breath-taking degree of tolerance for governmental negligence. The FIRST and PRIMARY obligation of government is the safety and protection of its people.
Second, cancelling contracts with companies in Arizona will only make Arizona MORE attractive to dissenting state and local governments.
Third, trying to negatively impact the hotel/restaurant industries in Arizona will ONLY cost jobs to many of the very illegal immigrants that these "haven" communities purport to support.
Fourth, this is still not an "immigrant-majority" electorate. By whatever connections they can make to Arizona's stand on illegal immigration, middle America WILL support the opponents to those who try to take Arizona down.
Fifth, the mere increased "availability" of Arizona conference and resort resources (due to the cancellation of existing contracts) will only make them MORE attractive to communities and organizations that support Arizona's position.
Sixth, Arizona will retalliate. Recent analyses show that there are MORE contracts with CALIFORNIA companies, etc. from Arizona entities than vice versa. This, of course, will only damage California even further at a time when the stupidities of California still have to be resolved.
One has to wonder, really - WHO IS DRIVING THE LIBERAL BUS, AND DO THEY EVEN HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE?

All Arizona is doing is showing that if you are an illegal immigrate, YOU ARE ILLEGAL.
Do a drive-by at Cave Creek and 32nd street and you will see about 100 men standing at the corner just waiting for work to do; stuccoing, landscaping, etc. These men standing at the corner were paid under the table by employers of Arizona and no taxes to be done on both ends, employers/workers. Cops could do NOTHING.
Do not mean to point out that the group of 100 men were illegal, but about 99.9% do not have proof of papers. Then the new law came about how employers/companies need to show proof that who they hire have legal papers. What was so wrong with that? It worked. Now this? and people are putting refried beans all over the capital walls? Literally?
Doncha love having the support of people like the one who made the - short bus remark?

is synonymous with "short bus." Our country needs to get on board the regular bus with the rest of the world where illegal immigration is concerned. That's where my support lies. Like it or not!

Sounds like you're supporting using off-color remarks. It's probable that you know no better, but it's an embarrassment to any cause.

I Feel Like An Utter FailureAug 11, 2011When things here got real bad, pay-wise and did not seem to be getting better, I decided to go back to school. I was 48 and now I'm 53. At my age it's just plain hard to find a job I guess, let alone have no experience except in this field. Last week I got a job as a sales manager for better than minimum wage and I do this at night still.&nbs ...
