Obama bow to Saudi king led to Times Square plot: Scheuer

(I wonder what Mr. Scheuer thought about that famous photo of Bush holding hands with a Saudi prince.)

The Times Square bomb "100% worked," the NYPD was "dead beat" by the bomber, and President Barack Obama's bow to the Saudi King led to the plot, in the first place. That's all true if you believe Fox News guest Michael Scheuer.
It's not the first time Scheuer, formerly in charge of the CIA's Bin Laden issue station, has raised eyebrows. In 2009, Scheuer said "the only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States."
In January, Scheuer said the U.S. should encourage terrorists to focus their anger on Israel. "Ultimately Israel is a country that is of no particular worth the United States," he said.
The following month, Scheuer told Fox News' Steve Doocy, "We're not killing enough people," in Afghanistan.
Fox & Friends invited Scheuer Tuesday to talk about Faisal Shahzad, the failed Times Square bombing suspect. The bomb was "a 100% success for [the terrorists] across the board," he said.

[ In Reply To ..]However, I do feel that no amount of Obama kissing Muslims' butts is gonna make countries like Iran like us. Osama will continue to try and blow us up and Mauhoud Ahmadinejad will continue on his plan to get a nuclear weapon. Once he gets one, there will be no stopping him from blowing Israel to bits or going after the US.
Obama bowing to the Saudi King, IMO, had nothing to do with the bombing attempt in NYC.
I will comment though on how many failed attempts terrorists have had and yet they keep coming. I'm sorry to say, but I don't feel that this administration is doing enough to protect us. Just like the shooting at Ft. Hood...there was evidence that man had issues and once that came out...I don't think any of us were shocked by what he did. We have people on no fly lists making it on planes and into our country. Something needs to be done.

But I, too, don't believe bowing to the Saudi King had nothing to do with the bombing attempt.
I, too, wonder how people on no-fly lists are getting on planes and into our country. That's a big deal, to me, that needs to be fixed, but I believe they will find a way to get into our country one way or another. They hate us, and it doesn't matter who's president, they're still going to hate us. I can't blame the president, though, just like I couldn't blame Bush for the shoe bomber and anthrax letters. Our country is just too big to control every single thing that happens.
This world is a big place, and it wouldn't surprise me if foreign terrorists are already in this country, planning their next attack, like the 9/11 terrorists were.

Hood incident and guys on no-fly lists and yet they still managed to get through. I just don't get it. Surely we could do something about that to help better protect ourself.
I agree that those people hate us. I guess that is why I don't understand our president's position on this. He doesn't want to call them terrorists and doesn't want to use terms like Muslim extremist because he doesn't want to offend....but I gotta tell ya....it offends me that they want to blow us up. Ya know? I think Obama's attempts at being nice to them isn't going to matter. It is a good thought and it would nice if it were possible....but it's not possible. These people are extremists for a reason...there is no compromising with them.

[ In Reply To ..]However, I believe that sometimes things do happen no matter how many precautions we take...but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do the best we can to protect our citizens from terrorists...both foreign and domestic.
I think we should do a better job at protecting our borders. If we have people coming into our country who are on a no-fly list, there is obviously a problem. In the Ft. Hood case, the underwear bomber, and the Time Square bomber...there were signs that were ignored.
