Healthcare website is useless.

or the people don't even know what they're talking about on the live chat option. I suspect the former, from the recent chat session I had on there. Will try calling in, but I suspect that's going to get me about the same results.
That website is about as useful as decaf coffee. Applied, account registered, get a message of "The Marketplace is transferring your
information to the Medicaid to see if you qualify to get more health services." Get an email that says you have a message at marketplace, log in to see message. Live chat says no message option available - this from first customer dis-service rep. Second rep tells me to check popup blocker, browser, clear cache, etc. How does that do any good if there is no message option????
So there I sit, no insurance, no information, no nothing. That, after the big push to apply by December 23 to be covered on January 1st.
More misinformation, misleading and close to deceptive, and COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT, a botched abortion mess.
This system could do so much good if it were designed and operated right; jobs created, people helped. What a pity. Marketplace itself may be okay if you're getting real insurance. If you're referred to Medicaid or whatever, I guess you're out of luck.
I'm simply furious and really psssd off with this mess. All that fuss and no health care coverage at all. ;
Sorry about the trouble. It's a huge undertaking - and will probably take a while

[ In Reply To ..]
I am so sorry about your problems and hope you can get signed up soon.
Have you tried calling instead of using the website? I know when I first heard about the website signup, I was really concerned about the people who were not very computer and health insurance literate being able to successfully sign up. I can just imagine many of my relatives and friends who can't be bothered with anything but Angry Birds handling this. Most people are used to dealing with insurance issues with their neighborhood insurance agent, so I imagine it must be very difficult for some.
I also really feel sorry for the people trying to help the Obamacare customers. I know how difficult it is to explain things to people who do not have any understanding of how such technical things work and expect to be spoon fed the information.

Besides that, since we've been told here it's going to take some time there is no way anyone can claim 6 million. Especially when people are losing their insurance every day and unable to sign up.

Almost twice as many Americans have signed up for the taxpayer-funded Medicaid as the private Obamacare plans.
2.1 million have signed up for Obamacare
3.9 million have signed up for the Medicaid coverage with Obamacare
6.1 million Americans have lost their insurance due to Obamacare

"2.1 million have signed up for Obamacare
3.9 million have signed up for the Medicaid coverage with Obamacare"
Almost twice as many have signed up for Medicaid, which will be paid for by the rest of us through higher taxes. That's not health insurance - stop calling it insurance - it's government assistance. I'm not saying those people don't deserve to get it, but stop calling it health insurance.
The 2.1 million that have signed up for health insurance - no one knows for sure if they have actually paid a premium. When I shop, I put something in my cart, but it doesn't mean that I actually check out and pay for it -
This thing is far from a done deal.
Medicare and Medicaid are different - Barbara
[ In Reply To ..]
We pay into Medicare through our paychecks, so in a sense, it is health insurance that we can collect benefits from when we retire or go on medicare disability. Medicare patients also have to pay 20% of their healthcare, so that means either paying the 20% out of pocket or getting another insurance policy, such as Blue Cross, to pick up the 20%. Does anybody know what percent is paid by the government for Medicaid patients? Is there a deductible that the patient is responsible for? I don't know and would welcome information from someone who does.
