For those who are puzzled, an explanation of the

Posted: Mar 18, 2016

Right up front, let me say that there are things about Donald Trump that I dislike intensely, and if my reading of the blogosphere, media, etc. is correct, there are many who dislike the same things.  In all fairness, however, most of my objections have to do with his persona and his presentation (which I consider to be undiplomatic and even adolescent at times), rather than with his IDEAS or POSITIONS.

It's important to distinguish between the package and its contents.  There are also things about Sanders that I dislike intensely, but I make the distinction.

They say politics makes strange bedfellows, and in an odd way both Trump and Sanders are products of the same phenomenon, namely a rebellion of the American electorate against the ruling class that has become alarmingly entrenched in positions of power.

The rise of this ruling class was THE thing that was feared above all by our founding fathers, many of whom predicted the inevitability that it would corrupt the nation.

Well, it has come upon us, this ruling class, and it MUST BE STRUCK DOWN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE to do so peacefully via the ballot box.  When that is no longer an option, there will be a violent uprising before the sheep are slaughtered by the government that hasn't represented the people for a very, very long time.

I consider the country to be at a crossroads:  We will either gain supremacy over the ruling class, or they us.  For that reason, and not for any other reason, I will support EITHER Sanders or Trump should they become Presidential candidates.

P.S.  How can I reconcile Trump and Sanders?  Quite easily, actually.  I think they both have great ideas, and I don't think either one of them is likely to be able to take the country to the extremes that their ideas or philosophies might suggest.  Sanders won't achieve socialism, and Trump won't achieve fascism. Let's all stop hyperventilating.

MESSAGE: We put down "the ruling class" NOW - AT THIS ELECTION - or forever be enslaved to them.

Trump is the class that has used the system to amass his wealth - Blinders?

He has hired IC contractors and looked the other way when they used immigrant labor. He has offshored jobs. He will not release his tax returns. He thinks he is better than the people he wants to represent (see his comments about women, minorities). He wants to use force and lawsuits against the people who are brave enough to speak against him. No. I do not want someone trying to be a dictator and who will stomp on the freedom of free speech.

ummmm - Sounds Like

you are talking about the "current" administration. Talk about "blinders!" Just take note that there are NO politicians that are in it "for the people." Not one! They ALL "use the system" to amass their wealth. It is what this generations government has become. No one vote is going to change "the way things are."
Bernie Sanders. - of, by and for the people! nm

He is out for himself, just as all of the others are. He does not have the spine to make the "change" this country needs.

Clinton will be our next president, not by the general vote, but by the electoral's, delegates, and super-delegates. It was decided a long time ago and that administration had to cheat and pay to get it. If you think we are in trouble now, wait another two years! I do not endorse her at all and wishing it would be otherwise, but mark my words, she will be our "fearless leader." sigh.
"Out for himself"? You just described Trump, - who is the epitome of megalomania.

If he's this bad now, imagine how much worse he's gonna get if he gains the power of the presidency.

I do not know what you mean by Trump has - great ideas, not hearing them

Other than building that huge wall and having Mexico pay for it, not allowing Muslins to enter the US, hold, hold, hold I am not seeing much of anything he says. I love the ad where he is asked about who he has helping him with his cabinet and he is saying what a great mind he has and repeats it. I think he "might" be halfway of a businessman but that alone would never make a decent president, much less a good one. Other than just bombing a place, no ideas at all.

Bringing jobs back - you should like that one. Cutting better trade deals for America.. - Rebuilding the military. Just starters.

...and whether you believe it or not, reestablishing the integrity of our borders is not just a good idea, it's absolutely essential to the sovereignty of this nation.

Bringing jobs back. That is not something that bothers - me and what about his jobs overseas?

[ In Reply To ..]
Have you not heard him take up for his clothing shops in China and elsewhere, saying you cannot have the clothing business here in the US and he has to have them? Unbelievable! Good for him but not others, I guess. I am not worried about jobs coming back. People need to educate themselves when it comes to what he would not be able to do, i.e. building a huge wall at the border. Just because you are president does not mean you are king of the world, like he tries to be. He has absolutely zilch experience. He talks about the wall. What would he do if he had another building to put up because he sure hires illegals himself or do you not know that either?
Not an MT then? We suffer right to this day from offshoring. - As to the rest of your rant...
[ In Reply To ..]
1. Hiring illegals - wrong. The contractor hired them unbeknownst to Trump. Do you expect Trump himself to verify the immigration status of everyone who works for all the different companies that contract with him in his various business activities? What unutterable rubbish.

2. Trump clothing made in China - so what? Trump isn't advocating the silly, extreme misrepresentation of his position that you imply, namely that there should be no such reciprocal economic activity whatsoever between nations. This is a straw-man argument.

3. No objective person can say with any certainty that the wall cannot be built - or that Mexico won't pay for it. In fact, it's likely that any country with the ability to go to the moon can manage to get a wall built, and we have the economic levers to squeeze Mexico until they scream "Tio!" so don't say anything that might embarrass you later.

The "king" stuff is just koolaid, so I'll just toss that down the sink.

Bye now.
You did not change my mind but rather - underscored my points

Yes, MT but I don't worry about business going overseas, neither does my husband because we have jobs that cannot be done in another country.
offshoring is not the only reason MT jobs are gone or low-paying - Truthhurts

Obamacare is also to blame. Doctors were to start using EMR sources by themselves or pay fines. Look it up.

They were given incentives to go that route before 2015 and after that, be fined. So jobs opened up for people in the physician office/hospitals if the docs didn't do the record input themselves and outsourcing medical transcription will become a thing of the past in a couple years.
True, but offshoring preceded Obamacare and IS the biggest - reason our compensation has stagnated.

This work, for security reasons if nothing else (!), needs to be brought back within the confines of the United States where the legal protections are clear, and where the legal process for redress and prosecution of privacy violations is certain.
True, but if you think anything is going to happen to bring MT jobs back, - Truthhurts

I think you're sadly mistaken. No one listened all these years so what makes you think anyone will listen now?

Face it. MT is a dying profession. With VR (even though it sucks), EMR and offshoring, the low wages and lost jobs are here to stay.

It's sad. I loved being an MT. I started with great wages in the '90s working 5 days a week and rotating one weekend a month at a hospital. Then I was stupid enough to join a national because of all their lies and it was downhill after that. 'Nough said.
Only a change in the HIPAA law would prevent offshoring - of medical records. nm

Doing Puzzle But It Has Me PuzzledJun 02, 2013
I am doing a puzzle and would love to have a frame for it when I complete it. I know frame sizes are like 3 x 5, 5 x 7, 8 x 10 and so on. This puzzle says it is 16 inches x 24 inches. It is in a very small box and I cannot believe it would be the biggest frame that most places sell such as Wal-Mart. Anyone good with math out there that can maybe clue me in? Thanks. ...

Courtesy of GeekAeslete on reddit: Imagine that you're sitting down to dinner with your family, and while everyone else gets a serving of the meal, you don't get any. So you say "I should get my fair share." And as a direct response to this, your dad corrects you, saying, "everyone should get their fair share." Now, that's a wonderful sentiment -- indeed, everyone should, and that was kinda your point in the first place: that you should be a part of everyone, and you should get ...

McConnell: May I Have A Plausible Explanation From Those In Transcription?Nov 06, 2014
As I mentioned yesterday (and from what I have read from others since my last visit), I, too, have become an independent because of the nonsense I have seen from both parties. That in no way means that I am for the abolition of parties, because I do believe one party often reins in the other, when the other goes "whack :) In fact, I believe we may need MORE parties for those of us who don't agree with the whole kit and caboodle of a single party. However, I think the problem today ...

Australia And Mexico Fake News Explanation. Feb 03, 2017
country. Their leadership has been under intense pressure not to let refugees in, many from Muslim Indonesia and Central South America. So Obama had an agreement with Australia to sent them here. Even if asylum seekers are found to be actual refugees, they’re not allowed to be settled in Australia. They’re sent to an offshore processing center. Trump is objecting to this. The rest of the world cannot just dump their problems on us. As far as Mexico, the media just flat out lied. ...
