This link is to a personal blog, The PCTC Blog, one with a solid left bias, and I haven't vetted the 200 items, but they do all come attached with a link to jump start the process and are in categories. (Thanks to PCTC for all the work.)

Like the footprint of any presidency, many are about the business of running government itself, some will strongly affect a few, some have already changed the lives of many, some will turn out to be lying dead in the water, but some will undoubtedly ultimately have very profound impacts we can't quantify, or even imagine yet.

Like unsexy little #129 that sounds like nothing on the surface, I'm wondering? I've read a couple of things referencing research resulting from this. Maybe I WILL get to power my house from that sun beating down, or perhaps just from a superpowered mixture of baking soda and vinegar, before I'm too old to know what's happening. That's a bill I'd love to get rid of. :)

Please cut the crap??? That's the site you are posting?

Here's the thing. Someone posted below an article by Alex Jones. I did read the article years ago. The article still stands true. Nothing has changed. Facts don't just disappear over because 3 years has passed. Also, Alex Jones is a very credible person who does a lot of investigative reporting. Sure it's usually uncovering the crap the liberals are doing, but also when republicans were in there were things against them too. Alex Jones is a credible place to get news. (P.S. - you guys really need to learn what a conspiracy theory is, otherwise the ha ha ha is on you). But in the past when people have posted blogs/opinion pieces favoring conservatives or pointing out something wrong on the liberal side they are shot down faster than you can blink an eye with not credible, it's a blog, its someones opinion, etc, etc.

However, here's the thing. Within 8 minutes after The Alex Jones article went up we got the usual canned yawn, conspiracy theory, delusional, etc, here it is an hour or so later and nothing. I know the libs are monitoring the board because they are cutting down anything they don't agree with, but here? A big fat N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!!

Here's a hint for the libs. If you are going to say sites are not credible, etc, at least try to be consistent. Besides, those lists have been bloated up to make it look like he did good things or were responsible for all of them. ha ha ha...nice try progs.

Alex Jones is well known as a right-wing conspiracy theorist - anon

Sorry, but he's not credible. True facts can be proven and are real. Conspiracy theories are not backed up by facts or documented proof. It's a shame that there's a tiny segment of the population that believes his nonsense.

Oh reaaalllly.... - About conspiracy theories...

[ In Reply To ..]
Not everything on his site is a conspiracy theory.

Conspiracy theories are offered as an alternative outlook on historical events. They are often based on little or no evidence; sometimes on misinterpretation of evidence. Conspiracy theories range from being a valid possible interpretation of events to the truly bizarre beliefs in an alternative reality.

"Conspiracy theorist" is generally a pejorative term used to discredit people for having far-fetched beliefs. In reality, however, conspiracy theory is not just just about zany ideas.

Conspiracies are real.

Conspiracies do happen. The gunpowder plot of 1605 where Robert Catesby and his followers attempted to blow up the houses of parliament is an example: the most infamous of the conspirators being Guy Fawkes.

Conspiracies occur in many walks of life: politics; organised crime; cartels; insider dealing; scams; etcetera. It is illegal to conspire, therefore conspiracies are usually cloaked in secrecy. This is the cause of the speculative nature of conspiracy theories; it is also the excuse used to mask the lack of evidence in the more bizarre theories.

There there are always those stories that people dubbed as conspiracy theories that were actually true: The Mafia, Manhattan Project, Watergate, Iran Contra Affair.

If there is proof of something then no matter how strange it may sound it is not a conspiracy theory.

A personal favorite: Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act for women. - (5 GOP senators out of 100 voted for it (SM)

[ In Reply To ..]
this time, but the bill was blocked by the Pubs altogether in 2007.
That just astonishes me, that anyone of any party would vote to continue the outrageous injustice and discrimination of the old law against 1/2 the people of our country.

MT needs a Lily Ledbetter who'd fight to "restore basic protections." The ones we used to have but so foolishly dismantled ourselves over the past quarter century. (Now, WHO were we listening to?)

At least we made one big move toward helping ourselves when we elected President Obama.

Uh, are you sure your #'s are right? - backwards typist

You said there was "5 out of 100" GOP Senators who voted for it?

Don't think so. There were only 41 Senators that year. The total for that year was 98 senators. :-)

Whoops. Sorry for rushing. Thanks for your courtesy. - Correction: 36 of 41 GOP Sens voted against.NM

Amazing, really, considering the GOP's fight to cripple - both executive and legislative functions. NM

Regarding Heated Debate Blow Over National DebtMar 07, 2010
I would like to lend a little perspective to the great debate below regarding national debt under Obama and Bush.  By October 2008, due to increases in domestic and foreign spending, the national debt had risen to $11.3 trillion, an increase of over 100% from the start of the year 2000 when the debt was $5.6 trillion.  This is an averge rise of 12.5% per year.  The debt was $12.3 on Feb 5, 2010 which would roughly represent one year under the Obama administration.  That wou ...

Terrorist Attempts To Blow Up The Fed Reserve In NYC This MorningOct 17, 2012
A Middle Eastern man tried to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in Lower Manhattan this morning, law-enforcement sources told the Post. The terrorist parked a van filled with what he thought were explosives outside of the Liberty Street building, sources said, then tried to set them off using a cell phone detonator. The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was provided the explosives from an undercover FBI agent that he met on the Internet and believed to be an accomplice, the sources s ...

An Unstoppable Progressive Future? Maybe NotSep 21, 2013
A new report tries to stifle Democrats' confidence that demographics guarantee the party's electoral success. But it's not totally persuasive. [Maybe not, but I've known a lot of minority conservatives over the years who are not comfortable with the Democratic party, even if they're forced to vote Democratic to protect themselves now, and I expect them to force change at some point. The only thing certain about the future is that it will be different and it wi ...

A Progressive Deficit Reduction Plan Repeal all of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax breaks for the top two percent.  Repealing the 2001 and 2003 tax breaks for the top two percent would reduce the deficit by about $1 trillion over the next decade.  After President Clinton increased taxes on the top two percent, the economy added over 22 million jobs.  After President Bush reduced taxes for the rich, the economy lost over 600,000 private sector jobs.  Create an emergency de ...

Remembering JOURNOLIST And Progressive MediaJul 16, 2017
A couple weeks ago I came across an old article about Journolist which I found striking. In particular, I was struck by the ways in which some of the debates taking place among left-leaning journalists back in 2008 still seem to encompass the ways the left-wing media operates today.... For those who don’t remember it, Journolist was just a listserv created by Ezra Klein. The list was invitation only and was mostly made up of progressive journalists. In theory, the list was a kind of digital ...

Soros Funds Progressive War On Israel. The Billionaire'sAug 18, 2016
The recent hack of George Soros’ “charitable” giving revealed nothing new. The man who told journalist Steve Kroft in a televised interview that roaming the streets of Budapest with his faux godfather to confiscate the property of his fellow Jews for the Nazis was the most exhilarating time of his life has long had a problem with both his Jewish roots and the creation of a Jewish state. Most revealing in the interview was Soros’ comment that he felt no guilt about what he had done dur ...

Four of the five most most liberal candidates in contested Senate races won on Tuesday (only Arizona Democrat Richard Carmona fell short), according to ideological ratings compiled by University of Chicago political scientist Boris Shor. And Murphy replaced a centrist I ...
