I might have gotten the program title slightly wrong, but I've been watching excerpts today and I think you can stick a fork in Hillary because she's done. Talk about influence-peddling!! They've indicted Senator Menendez for much, MUCH less.
What I think has changed about the influence of money in American politics is not that it exists - it always has. What has changed is how WE have come to accept political corruption - as long as it's someone in "our" party. We only hate corruption in "the other" party, and that politicizes corruption to the point that it no longer has any ABSOLUTE meaning whatsoever. It's just a political thing.
...and that, of course, makes us JUST AS CORRUPT as the corrupt politician THAT WE REFUSE TO DENOUNCE. The very nature of a democracy is such that the government will not have, and can never have, one speck more integrity than the ELECTORATE has. If you apply different standards of integrity based on what party someone represents, you yourself have no integrity whatsoever. Integrity and party loyalty are not in any sense the same thing.

Even Common Cause is now calling for the foundation - to be audited.

But is she?
Her strategy is becoming clear: Give non-responsive answers now and hope that all this will be "old news" by 11/2016. Later in the election season, the MSM will claim that "She's already answered those questions" - although of course she hasn't because she can't (without risking federal prosecution).
Then in 11/2016 it will just come down to whether enough of the sheeples will buy the claim that all of this was just a "vast right wing conspiracy". Sad to say, more than a few will, and more than a few won't even know what any of this was about in the first place.
I don't know how much longer this democracy can survive this electorate.
