of the light bulbs he uses or the heating and cooling systems, etc. However, for a man who is so worried about our planet heating up....he hasn't slowed down flying in his private jet or using limos or big SUVs to travel in. I do not believe in this global warming BS. I think it is an absolute scam. However, I do think that it is not a bad idea to recycle and at least attempt to be cleaner. The fact of the matter is...the information I do know about Gore...I'm more green than he is by far and I don't believe in global warming.

If you truly believe something like global warming, wouldn't you do everything you could to reduce emissions...flying in private jets, riding in limos and SUVs, and using a huge houseboat on a lake...I'm sorry....just shows me a man who would rather we do as he says and not as he does. Al Gore is a crook and a scam artist.
How about some facts to back up your claims? - Quick-Draw McGraw

You have thrown out a lot of accusations without any facts to back them up. What facts do you have to prove that global warming is a scam? What facts do you have to prove that you are more "green" than Al Gore? What facts do you have to prove that Al Gore is a "crook and a scam artist?

Gore has held these apocalyptic views about the environment for some time. So why, then, didn't Gore dump his family's large stock holdings in Occidental (Oxy) Petroleum? As executor of his family's trust, over the years Gore has controlled hundreds of thousands of dollars in Oxy stock. Oxy has been mired in controversy over oil drilling in ecologically sensitive areas.

Living carbon-neutral apparently doesn't mean living oil-stock free. Nor does it necessarily mean giving up a mining royalty either.

Humanity might be "sitting on a ticking time bomb," but Gore's home in Carthage is sitting on a zinc mine. Gore receives $20,000 a year in royalties from Pasminco Zinc, which operates a zinc concession on his property. Tennessee has cited the company for adding large quantities of barium, iron and zinc to the nearby Caney Fork River.

As for his houseboat...it is said to run only on ethanol but there are no places nearby to obtain ethanol fuel...only gas.

Obviously...I am greener than Al Gore is and I...along with many scientists...think Global Warming is total crap.

Do you all remember...what was it...in the '70s when they said we were heading into another ice age. LOL. First global cooling that didn't pan out and now global warming. Excuse me while I shake my head and chuckle.

If it's something like no one should believe in or take up the cause of climate change unless they are a climatologist, I don't think it's worth the time to pursue.

At December's U.N. Global Warming conference in Poznan, Poland, 650 of the world's top climatologists stood up and said "man-made global warming is a media generated myth without basis".

Said climatologist Dr. David Gee, Chairman of the International Geological Congress, "For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming?"
I think I read about this in 2008. Do you have a - link?

The debate is so heated and of course there are people with huge interests in whether it is true or not that man is contributing to climate change. I, of course, am no climatologist, but with all I have read and just my thoughts about all of the polution we create, I have a difficult time believing that we don't have an effect. My son doesn't believe that we are contributing to climate change and that the earth "can keep up" with us. I just can't subscribe to this thought.

We all know that there have been big changes in climate in the history of the earth (that is provided we don't believe it is only 6,000 or so years old), and it could be that the climate is changing naturally, but it just seems impossible to me that we aren't having an effect.

My son and I were having a discussion about it and he mentioned the different climate there was when dinosaurs roamed, and they still don't know what happened to them for sure. He said the dinosaurs weren't polluting the atmosphere, but the climate changed anyway. So I wanted to lighten the mood a bit and mentioned there was a lot of rotting vegetation and I'll bet they passed really big gas. lol.

Anyway, I don't know if we'll ever know the truth, but it sure does seem that most scientists (without connections to oil and things) agree that we are having an effect on the climate.

Here is some info from National Geographic in case you're interested.

who doesn't believe in Global Warming...I still believe in doing what is good for our planet. We should recycle. We should look for alternative fuel sources. Stop cutting down rain forests, etc. We shouldn't trash the planet that we have, but I do feel that the heating and/or cooling of the Earth is a natural cycle.

My personal suspicion about the dinosaurs has to do with volcano eruptions and the volcanic debris and smoke clouding the Earth, killing plant life, dinosaurs, and potentially even changing Earth's climate...but that is just my opinion on dinosaurs. ;) I don't have any absolute proof of that as no one does but that seems like a plausible explanation to me.

We really should take example of the Native Americans who wasted nothing and gave back to Mother Earth. We do take our planet for granted and abuse it. My biggest pet peeve is driving down the road and seeing litter in the fields and along the road. Makes me so mad!!!

So for one who believes global warming is a load of crap....well...it still doesn't hurt to recycle and not take our planet for granted. ;)
Yes I guess it doesn't really matter as long as people - realize that we need
[ In Reply To ..]
to stop pooping where we eat so to speak. We can't just pick up garbage and recycle and expect the industrial waste to take care of itself.

So, whether we believe in "global warming" or not, if we respect our earth, we will still do everything we can to keep it alive which is the whole point anyway. :)
Very good point. - Trigger Happy

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on Global Warming and just continue to do our part in keeping Earth clean regardless of whether this is a hoax or not. ;)

How To Make Money With Carbon Exchanges LikeMar 29, 2017
Register your company as a "member firm" on the carbon exchange. Do nothing. Produce nothing. Over the course of time, you will accumulate carbon "credits" because your company is not using energy or polluting the environment. You can then turn and sell your carbon credits to other companies that are polluting the environment, e.g. factories, airlines, automakers. Contact those "polluting" companies and shame them into buying your carbon credits at a premium, or a "discount" depending on how ...

Carbon Dioxide Emissions At Record High, International GoalDec 02, 2012
Emissions continue to grow so rapidly that an international goal of limiting the ultimate warming of the planet to 3.6 degrees, established three years ago, is on the verge of becoming unattainable, said researchers affiliated with the Global Carbon Project. The new figures show that emissions are falling, slowly, in some of the most advanced countries, including the United States. That apparently reflects a combination of economic weakness, the transfer of some man ...

Al GoreJun 22, 2011
My last for the day (I promise). I'm curious to hear your comments on Al Gore's theory.  I have many years under my belt, so to speak, working with abandoned baby girls from China.  I've worked with these girls for many years and saw the raw emotions they exhibit when faced with their reality of being abandonded as infants, including my own adoptive girls, so I'm probably prejudiced when it comes to talk of population control or a woman's uterus.  Althoug ...
