Does anyone know if MS can paralyze your entire spine

Getting short of breath here and cannot swallow. Does anyone know if MS can affect your breathing or swallowing? Thanks. I am terrified I am having a PE or something. Please pray for me. Thank you.

My mom has had MS for years and I am afraid that this is not an MS symptom, however, I am not a physician. Please go to the ER because it could be a PE! Please....

I have a friend with MS, and her respiratory system is indeed affected. Whether yours is related to the MS or not is hard to know, but I hope you are seeking help. Shortness of breath is not to be messed with.

I am so sorry to hear that your friend has MS. It is a horrible horrible disease. I still have no definitive diagnosis although I have every sign and MRI evidence and my bills are so high now I hate going back to the ER. I have to wait to see another neuro and praying this time he will make a diagnosis of either that or guallain-barre although I think I would be dead by now from GB. My right leg is completely numb and dragging, entire face numb and entire spine and I am trying to work like this. It is just ridiculous! Neurosurgeon still says central nervous system disorder and all the neuros said it was my neck. I have just had it and about ready to lose everything and need help with everything.

Are there any big hospitals near you? I live in Baltimore and am lucky to have John Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical Center close by, two extremely good hospitals, especially if you are having trouble getting a diagnosis. I would suggest you try to go to some place like that if you are close enough. Praying for you.

I am having SEVERE numbness in my head and down my entire spine. I have had previous cervical laminectomy. They are tellng me my C spine MRI does not show compression and my brain MRI is normal.
