U. S. Says Goodbye To The Pandas

All Pandas in the U.S., even those born here are to be returned to China today. Its part of the agreement the U. S. signed with China. The Chinese Gov't. is going to hire Tutors to teach the Pandas Chinese, the Pandas only know the English language.

It's sad because they're just so cute. Apparently, in the near future, China is supposed to send us another one. Just a fact - did you know we pay a million dollars a year to China for 1 panda on loan, for as long as we have it? I adore Pandas and think they are just precious but I think that's frivilous spending. I hope they make enough profit at the zoo to cover that expense.

One from the National Zoo in Washington DC, and the other from Zoo Atlanta.

The rest of the US pandas are still here, and there are no current plans to send any more of back in the immediate future.

on loan/trade from China are to be returned to the U.S. So if a China panda mates and has a baby, that baby is returned to China.

The pandas are all "loaned" to the US for research and display purposes and all of their offspring are required to go back to China at the age of 2 (I think) to go back into the breeding pool.
