to the entire world so here it is ... whenever I go to a family reunion I always cook a Stouffer's frozen lasagna and put it in my own casserole dish.
i dropped things on the floor and fed it to my husband - within 3 seconds of course.

Okay, fess up now - say you have 2 clean plates left and you notice one has just a little bit of schmutz on it, which will be covered by the food - which one are you going to give to your husband? Or are you going to be a good wife and wash the dirty dish? Sorry - dirty dish goes to Hubby. LOL.
I'm the good one in this instance - TMEFG

but not in that I clean the plate. I usually grab a cloth or something and wipe it off then use it myself.

OK. It's in the early 90's and I'm newly married. My MIL showed me how to make German Paprikash (my mom's Hungarian Paprikash is good too). It uses a lot of paprika. I had it in the pan and added the paprika. I let it cook for awhile, then tasted it to see how much salt it needed. I promptly dropped the spoon and went flying out of the kitchen into the living room where my drink was (and where my husband was sitting), drinking all the contents in my glass. I wasn't paying attention and had added cayenne pepper instead of paprika. My mouth burned for quite awhile. I had to start over from scratch. I still giggle when I think about it.

When younger (about 18 years old) I was bringing a chocolate cream pie to something. It was sitting on the back seat and I came to an abrupt stop. It fell of the seat and next thing I looked down and the chocolate pudding was rushing out from under the seat towards my feet and the pedals of the car. I got to my destination used the spoon to scoop it back into the pan (it was in a big turkey size roasting pan), picked out the pebbles and debris, covered it with the cool whip and pretended nothing happened. Okay, is that bad or what?
The first Thanksgiving I cooked all by myself sm - desertfox

I was rushing around trying to get everything done at the last minute. I was using the hand-held mixer to mash the potatoes when my hand lifted up and smashed into the wine glasses that were hanging under the cabinet. Down rained the glass into my mashed potatoes! My mother-in-law and I looked at each other in stunned silence. Then we picked out all the big pieces of glass and put the rest of the potatoes through a mesh sifter...yes,we did feed those potatoes to everyone without a word about the glass....we just admitted this atrocity to our famiy members a few years ago and it happened in 1986!
You know you could have killed someone, right? - Unbelievable

I can see trying to salvage a dish but perhaps shards of glass being served for people to consume? Even the very tinest of glass could get lodged in your intestines. Maybe the people you were preparing dinner for were ones you disliked a lot.

Makes you realize what horrible things probably go in when people who do know or care about you (like in restaurants) must go on more than we think!
And this did not happen in a restaurant - Unbelievable

Person said MIL in on it so sounds like dinner as usual for the family. Never would I have done anything like that and risked killing people. We would have gone out to a restaurant that day if I had to float a loan.
Agreed-- - sm

Flies In The Kitchen?Jun 21, 2010 Help! I have these flies all in my kitchen. They look similar to the common house fly, but A LOT smaller. I thought they may be fruit flies? But, my kitchen is not dirty, no fruit around on counters, no food on counters, nothing, but these things are all in the sink, on backsplashes, paper towel holder, etc. I scrubbed everything down with bleach, killed multiple flies in the process, looked nice and clean, so I thought I was in the clear, BUT..............mayb ... Hell's KitchenJun 23, 2010 Anyone watch? This is one of my favorite shows. I don't know how some of the chefs get on the show in the first place! ... I Have Scorpions In My Kitchen, Egads!!Nov 19, 2009 Ok, just saw another 1 for the second time. Still working but am going to spray for those critters ASAP. They are little brown ones and my kitty wants to eat them. Ugh! I stomped that critter. I know there are probably nests around my home somewhere. Just saw my first the other day, now another. ... Instead Of A Big Brown Box Sitting In The KitchenJan 21, 2015 I buy sweet potatoes by the box load, about 25 pounds at a time, also buy onions and oranges the same way at the farmer's market. Would anyone have any ideas about how to store the items instead of their being in the boxes like they are now, out in the kitchen? I have no storage space in my cabinets and where they are located now is like a cubby hole under a desk, not a movable one but one made into the countertop. Thanks for any ideas. ... Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer QuestionJan 12, 2013 I received a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Xmas and I am thrilled, but any time I try to make a risen dough, bread, pizza crust, etc., they do not rise sufficiently and seem tough. I always kneaded these things by hand and never had the problem, but when I use the mixer it does not seem right. Am I overmixing? I am following the instructions to the letter, so if anyone has any feedback, that would be appreciated. Last week we had the great pizza disaster of 2013 and all ate salami sandwiches f ... Internet Tip - Kitchen Timer Works WondersMar 08, 2014 If you feel too much of your time gets sucked up by the Internet - use a kitchen timer, set it for however long you want to be on the Internet per day, and stick to it.
I am doing this French online learning course, and I always look over at the timer, because I want to get my time in with my French. It's a big help.
In fact, a kitchen timer is a big help with any amorphous task, writing essays, painting, reading. Although the one I have is noisy (tick, tick), so I kind of bur ...
