Going to a Concert...

...and if people in front of me stand up to dance, wave their arms, or whatever, I'm going to spit. The reason for tiered seating is so that everyone can see the stage. If my view is someone's butt, I'm going to ask for my money back, which is no small change.
If you're one of "those" please don't do it tonight, LOL.;

from dancing or rocking out at a concert, I would do more than spit.

I usually stand throughout any concert I've ever been too. I love to get excited and scream, etc. along with my daughter. Fortunately, whenever I've been to a concert no one is sitting.
You can stand up as well - Concert goer

I wouldn't make an issue of that, they paid for their tickets too.

I can't stand for long periods of time due to back and knee problems. I paid good money for my tickets just like you 3 above and all the "dislikers" did and should be able to see and enjoy the show. Even if the person behind you doesn't have medical issues, they still paid good money for their seats too. Seats are there for a reason, tiers are there for a reason. Be respectful and mannerly and keep your heinie planted in your seat unless the entertainer asks everybody to stand or the show is over and you want to participate in a standing ovation. I wouldn't spit on you, but I'd be calling the usher.

Thanks. I'm 62, and can't stand for long periods. Even some younger folks can't--so one needs to be considerate before blocking the view of the stage.

Everybody was considerate, and nobody stood up. A lot of "chair dancing," which hurts nobody, but there were probably 200 people there, and everyone minded their manners. One can easily bee-bop and swing their arms without standing.
If you were meant to be standing during a concert, there would be lean-against posts, not seats.
And not everyone can stand for long periods. This concert was 3 hours long.

I love music and attend concerts regularly. I have NEVER in my life been to a concert where anybody sat. If your health is such that you are not able to stand, perhaps you should rethink going. You cannot dictate to others they are not permitted to stand, nor would an usher or security force them to sit. And I promise you if you ever spit on me, you would NEVER do it to anybody again.

U2 ConcertJun 29, 2015Went to Chicago to see U2 last night. It was a sell-out crowd. What a great group of musicians. Had tickets to their 360 tour over 4 years ago but unable to attend as our home burned to ground and we lost our tickets. Was really excited about going. Enjoyed the music tremendously. Unfortunately, the man in front of me chose to stand for the entire concert. Quite a large man to say the least. I politely leaned forward about 30-45 minutes into the show and ...
