Duty Tax - Anybody have a clue?

Found a pair of shoes online from the UK. I am reduced to one type of shoe due to foot problems and this online shoe store located in the UK has them in bone which is not offered in USA. They state they are not responsible for any duty tax if applicable. How or who to contact to see if duty tax will be charged? This has got me stumped. Any ideas?

the Post Office will collect the duty when you pick up or take delivery of the package. Call your local post office. They can probably tell you what to expect. It will probably be a certain percentage of the cost of the item depending on the type of item and its country of origin.

I have ordered many things from overseas from shampoo, medications, and other articles and never once had to pay a "duty tax".. so I don't understand why it would be so for shoes.

under $200.00 is duty free. I am still going to contact the post office to be sure. Many thanks for taking the time to answer!!

back to school, but not sure what to study so I have not even filled out an application for admission. I cannot get a job in MT regardless. I have 17 years of experience and still no job offers. I keep thinking there is hope. After filing for unemployment, I thought I would get my DD pay today (yes I did the waiting week). Now I find out it could be TEN DAYS before I get my pay.
