I just hope and pray that Charlie gets some serious medical help!!!!  He obviously is manic or even bipolar.  If he is diagnosed properly just maybe the public will understand his behavior over the past few weeks and he may in some way be able to shine in the spotlight once again.  I feel so bad for him, as he is self destructing and cannot see what the rest of us are seeing.    I loved his show.  I wonder if we will ever find out how the story line of how him and Rose would have ended up with Manny Quin in the picture - LOL.  Hopefully there are better days ahead of him and he gets his life back on track.  I just hope no one gets seriously hurt in this saga.

I have been watching/reading on and off. Such a very sad thing to see happening to such a talented actor. His father and mother must be in agony watching their son go though this. It's too bad his parents could not get him committed to a rehab/medical facility whether or not Charlie wants it. I don't think he really knows right from wrong right now, and I fear the worst might happen to him if he doesn't get help. Whatever illness he is suffering through I truly hope he can get some serious help. He seems to be going down a hill at a very high speed and I would hate to see him end up the same fate as what happened to Heath Ledger. For me it is difficult to watch him interviewed or talking on his website. Such a wonderful actor from a family of other actors I love too.

My heart goes out to he and his family. I wish them all the best.

The only illness ---- sm - anon

he is suffering from is 'addiction.' Tons of money = drugs = addiction = self-destruction. Money does not bring happiness, contrary to what so many think. He has lost his soul and I do not see him 'coming back' from this without devine intervention. Add him to a long line of celebs that have met their fate this way. so sad and such a waste!

I never thought Charlie was such a great actor... - but I do enjoy his show and

hate it when things don't wrap up nicely. I think he's just an out of control egomaniac with way too much $$$. I suppose they could just keep on truckin and find a replacement actor like they do in soaps all the time. Any suggestions? Maybe Emilio Estevez LOL!
They are talking about replacing him with - Uncle Jesse

He is such a stone cold fox!
I don't know who uncle Jesse is, but I heard they are thinking about - Rob Lowe or Jon Stamos

Actually the only Uncle Jesse I know is that old guy from Dukes of Hazzard, but I'm pretty sure you are not talking about him :-)

I actually like 2-1/2 men because of Ducky. To me Charlie Sheen was an after thought in that show. Ducky and his son are the funny ones. Although I do like Charlie Sheen in the movies he's been in.
John Stamos was Uncle Jesse - in Full House (TV)

my first thought, as well, and I was thinking that would be a strange choice. :) I never did watch Full House, so that is probably why.
Uncle Jesse from Hazzard County - might not be a bad idea!

Heck, ship in all those hunky Duke boys!
I always liked Uncle Jesse from Hazzard... - Kendra

probably for the same reason that I find Charlie Daniels unexplainably sexy. I guess I have always had a thing for old round men with long beards and just didn't realize it. ;)
I don't think they can replace him on this one- - ticchick

I mean, he IS the show- it was written basically for him and kind of about him and the way he really is. I think if he can get his problems under control hopefully they will offer the job back for the sake of the rest of the cast, but if not, that show is toast. I really don't see a replacement working out, or how they would even plug one in there. Who knows, he may have a good legal case against being fired.
I don't know... - Victor Newman

Even when they replace soap characters, it is an awkward transition. Strong characters, like Victor Newman, might be killed off rather than replaced because so much of the actor's essence has been weaved into the character and the audience just won't accept a replacement. That's why I don't think it would work in this case... but jmo.

And there is no allowance for a segway to transition to a character replacement, as they did on MASH for so many years, because of the abruptness of Sheen's departure.

To tell you the truth, up until this whole thing hit the fan, I never watched the show. I'm just now catching some syndicated reruns and I am so impressed by the writing. I'm not s sitcom fan at all. I totally tuned them out about 10 years ago, but this show cracks me up.

Many talented actors and great chemistry with writers tapped into everything. Not gonna judge, but it's just too bad whatever happened, happened.

I think he's more than manic, I think maybe schizo. - He"s got that "Charlie Manson" look in his eyes...
