Does anyone have a kneeling chair or know anyone who does

I am getting low back pain and now pain running down the side of my leg. I adjusted my chair so I am ergonomically at the correct height so that my legs are not hanging down and my arms are flush with the keyboard (just the way the pictures show. I used to have a lumbar suport, but it was pushing me forward. Then I switched to a pillow but didn't get much supoort. Now I'm using a firmer smaller pillow behind the arch of my back, but I'm really dreading sitting because once I sit I've got pain in my low back and now pain going down one side of my leg. Sometimes I will type while kneeling and that takes the pressure off the back.

Since I don't use a foot pedal I was thinking that maybe one of those kneeling chairs would be good. Does anyone have them or know of someone who uses one and what are your opinions on it. I've been looking at all the different types of chair, but don't have a lot of money to invest in a big ergonomics chair.

Just wanted to get opinions. Thanks.

My husband spends long hours at the computer and can't seem find the right ergonomic setup. We had both tried those kneeling chairs in the past but could not for the life of us find one anywhere recently. Even the Relax the Back Store, which had them on their website, did not carry them in the store because "nobody wants them" according to the salesguy. Harumph.
Have you found them in store, and if so please tell me if it's a chain. We'd still love to get one.

These are a little different than the ones I remember but same concept. Showing to the husband now. :-)

have not used it for extended periods of time, such as on the job. I have to use the foot pedal to transcribe and cannot figure out a way to use it comfortably with this chair. Just a thought, but before spending money for it, you might want to ask on a site like Freecycle.com if anyone wants to give theirs up.

For the reason you said. The site I read said these are not good for extended periods of time. Your legs are stuck in one position and circulation can be cut off and other reasons I have decided against it. On the main board someone was asking for a good chair. I cannot afford a $600 chair (or even a $200 chair), but someone mentioned a gel pack, so I am going to get one of those and try it out. I also put a book on the floor so it raises my legs up and so they are straight out. I'm thinking of getting a cycler thing for under my desks so that my legs get some exercise while I am typing.

A heating pad has been helping, but I still have to get up frequently, which sucks on the line count. My back is still bothering me, so maybe the gel pad will help. The great news is I finally got health insurance so I can finally go to the doctor.

Has anyone used The ERGO chiar? I have been looking for a good chair to help with my back problems but most are so expensive. This one looks odd but has a ton of great reviews on it's website. Just wonder if anyone has actually sat on one... Much appreciated!! ...

The chair I am currently using for work is so uncomfortable. It's one of those cheap ones from Wal-Mart where the seat area is so short that it only goes to my mid thigh so my legs hang down and they fall asleep. I really need a new chair! Suggestions for a comfortable one but don't have to spend a fortunate?! ...
