Clean My Space

I recently discovered a web site called Clean My Space .com and I wanted to share it with all of you. They are short videos put out about once a week on how to clean particular items, etc. The "host" owns her own cleaning company and uses lots of homemade products to clean and disinfect.

For the last year, we have stopped using our dishwasher because I noticed that the dishes were coming out more dirty than they went in, so we've been washing dishes by hand and our dishwasher has turned into a huge drying rack. It turns out, from watching a video from Clean My Space, that the dishwasher has a filter. Even though I'm a clean freak, I had no idea! So, last night I found that filter and O...M...Gosh!!! So incredibly disgusting! I cleaned it the way she showed in her video, and have now run it through about 4 cycles using baking soda and a cup of vinegar (as she recommends). My dishwasher looks almost brand new...and the dishes I just washed...clean!! I'm amazed! And a little ashamed I didn't know about the dishwasher filter before.

I'm currently living in a rental. I think I'd rather just move than look at the dishwasher filter here!

Clyde, thank you so much for sharing that! I have to tell you our gross story. We raised three long-haired daughters, and I had long hair. We all shared the same bathroom. Well one day, our sink stopped up. Husband had to unstop it. He pulled this hairball plug thing out of the sink that was like something from the Aliens movies. It made a huge "suckkkkkk" sound when it came out. Stunk to high heaven. Was about a foot long!!! Totally gross!
P.S. We didn't wash our hair in the sink; that was just from where occasionally when random hair would go down the drain. Thank goodness we had a filter on the bathtub drain.

The whistleblower in this situation is a true hero - he took it to the media and now THEY have brought it to all of us.
