Apple pie first aid

Posted: Jul 11, 2010

Has anyone ever tried putting an apple pie back in and cooking it more after it's cooled?  I baked mine for a whole hour at 375, but the apples are still crunchy.  Or has anyone tried microwaving to cook it further?  HELP!

Yes, you can put your pie back in. Just keep an eye on the crust so that it doesn't get too dark. I usually put foil on the edges anyway.

I would NOT put it in the microwave!! It will make you crust really gummy and soggy.

Good luck!

Obama's Redistribution: What Did Frank Marshall Davis Say? By Paul Kengor Given my book on Barack Obama's communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, I'm regularly asked whether the latest Obama statement -- on economics, on wealth, on business, on the middle class, etc. -- rings of Davis.  Invariably, yes, it does.  Not surprisingly, I'm being asked just that in regard to the new Obama statement on "redistribution," which has just emerged in a tape recording f ...

Scrumptious Apple CrispOct 30, 2011
I just made the most scrumptious apple crisp. Served it warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was one of those desserts that with every bite you make the "mmmm" sound :-) I will copy the recipe from the page I got it and then I will post the link because there is a picture of it. The recipe calls for 4 cups of chopped apples and for me that was 3 apples. It was so incredibly easy. It took me about 15 minutes to make, an hour in the oven. My house smells excellent. I hope you enj ...

Moist Cinamin Apple BarsJul 04, 2014
I came across this site I wanted to share.  First, I cannot wait to make these apple bars (have to get the ingredients first).  They look so scrumptious and moist and my mouth is watering looking at the pic.  The pic is up close and they look very moist. I like that she has step by step directions with pics. I also cannot wait to make the vanilla yogurt cake & moist banana bread.  I've made plenty of banana muffins, but most are always dry.  This one looks very ...

I have been having uncontrollable diarrhea, then it was just with clear mucus and I thought I had a parasite or something.  Had to wear Depends to go out.  Read the collaginous colitis discussion and tried the ACV, 1 tablespoon in 8 oz water 2-3 times a day and it has worked wonders!  Back to normal, only occasional diarrhea.  I will be taking this for the rest of my life!  Also will be trying the probiotics.  ...

Apple Boycotts Fox News Over Hate Merchant Glen BeckMar 31, 2010
There’s no question that Apple and its CEO, Steve Jobs, are among the most liberal in the technology business. Contrariwise, Fox News is better known as a conservative cheerleader than as a news organization. And, now, never the twain shall meet. The Washington Post reports that Apple, along with a couple hundred other advertisers, are boycotting Glen Beck’s Fox News daily 5 o’clock program: More than 200 companies have joined a boycott of Beck’s program, making it ...
