Pray for the bomber

The crime was heinous, but this is a boy of 19 who in the end I believe didn't want to die as a supposed martyr. I pray that someone will reach out to him in Christ and show him that God loves him.

It may be too soon after this attack for many posts about sympathy for a human so lacking a regard for life - that they could participate in something like this. But I thank you for your post. It takes nothing away from me to feel sympathy for the perpetrator - along with the other feelings I have like shock, outrage and disgust. Perhaps his story will cause others who are like him to rethink their position...

Please, stop thinking that evil people have just been led astray a bit! Quit already. Enough. Get it straight, okay? They are evil and do not want to be saved, so they are not going to be saved.

Put your energy where it belongs. Help our country be strong to fight these evil people, not just give them a prayer, a lecture and a slap on the wrist.

Do you people not realize that these are our enemies and want YOU and YOUR FAMILY dead?

Get your gosh darn heads out of la-la ville. A lot of you sound like you have scrambled eggs for brains, with a heavy dose of air whipped into them. Maybe too much LSD in the 1960s? Maybe a bad car accident?? I can't figure you out. I can't figure out all this "can't we just be nice?" Yes, you and I can be nice to one another, by they can't and won't and don't want to.

I know a la-la land story that I will share. I had a dear friend who was a missionary. In her la-la-land brain, she decided she and others were going to go to one of those tribes in Africa where they like to chop off peoples' heads. They were going to "show them how to be nice." Guess what? She got her head chopped off. Guess what? Their children (who were young at the time) lost their mother. I don't think it's God's will to purposely put yourself in a position to leave your children without their mother. Try explaining that to a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old.

I am so sick and tired of all this "nice" stuff when people want to kill us.

One of the worst case scenarios is the Okalahoma bomber. Remember him? Some church decided to place their little children followers into a bus and ride them up and down the street chanting "we forgive you" to the bomber. Excuse me? Did he give a diddly? Did he care. Did he apologize? Excuse me, that church slapped the victims and their families right in the face with that.

In my eyes, you la-la land people are allowing the evil to continue. Those who allow evil are (sorry) evil. I will never understand you and will never respect you. The victims' families have been slapped in the face by you people. Are you happy about that? I guess so. You keep doing it.

I have no sympathy for this young man. I wonder how many people would truly have sympathy for him had it been their young child who died as a result of this young man's evil sickness. I wish him nothing buy misery, now and forever. No sympathy here at all...and no, I am not a Christian. I'm just a mother who would have gutted this man myself had he caused the senseless demise of my young son!

If we have no forgiveness, we're no better than the above poster who would "gladly gut" the bomber. We killed God's son and God is willing to forgive us. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm just saying this is a lost soul in need of Christ.

The terrorist should NOT receive any pain meds. Look at all the pain (both physical and emotional) that he caused those people and people who lost their loved ones. And then there are the injured people who lost their limbs, etc. and will be affected their entire lives both emotionally and physically.

I have no sympathy for this guy either and if they didn't like the U.S. they should have gotten out of here and gone back to where they came from.

Gandhi said that if we follow the reasoning of "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth," we will have a blind and toothless world. Help me understand, please. This man doesn't WANT Christ. What in tarnation makes you all think that you can inject Christ into him? You can't, no matter how hard you try. I truly wish we as humans had that sort of power, but we don't.

The man wanted to be in our country to hurt people in our country. Please stop excusing him, it makes my stomach turn. You act like he was in some sort of a fugue state with no control. He had plenty of control.

And he is not some mentally ill nut who snapped and ran around with a machete or something. He planned this for probably years on end, then executed his plan with plenty of help. This is not the sign of a lost little lamb.

I have had swelling in my ankles and feet and legs as well as my abdomen. Have gained an awful amount of weight suddenly. My dad is having an angiogram on his leg this Thursday to see if they can put stents in to open blockages and get some blood flow back to his foot which has an ulcer that is getting worse and will only get better if they can increase circulation to the area. I do reports for a big hospital in the midwest and see a lot of cancer reports, anorexia, car accidents and sometimes I just feel so overwhelmed by it that I have to stop and pray for the people in the report.
