of gardening. It really is an amazing thing to plant a tiny seed, care for it and watch it grow. But it's also a science, isn't it? Especially growing indoors, it sounds like you really need to know a thing or two about which nutrients are needed, how much light, water, all of it. What a great feeling that must be, though, to see these little plants growing so well.

What got you started on this gardening adventure, if you don't mind my asking?

I've often heard that the knack for planting and growing gets passed on in families. My grandparents, I'm told, were always growing vegetables - going through the Depression, I suppose they did so out of necessity. My father planted a few citrus trees on his property that are still many years later producing lemons, oranges, and kumquats. One day, I'm going to just go for it and try something...
