Stock up while prices are lower - there is no downside to preparedness

Last year this time I bought and froze 20 lb. of brown rice, and have 20 lbs. of beans cooled in the garage. Buy next year's food at today's prices. Plant onions and stock up on vitamins and spices. Get grow lights and grow (massively nutritional) dandelions and parsley over the winter (or in a good window), as well as potatoes in trash cans (look it up:)). Potatoes are high in vitamin C,and vitamin C is available all winter from pine needle tea and rose hips (look that up too). Also stock up on sprout seeds (mung beans, etc.) Fresh veg all winter. Learn how to grow all of it now; it takes practice. Watch/read "The Martian" -- not bad science! Mark Watney lived on white potatoes (which produce the greatest harvest per acre on Earth) and vitamins. Yeah, protein deficit, but it's about survival. God gave us all we need, we can still practice self sufficiency.
