what you said. I teach piano lessons and some of my public school students are so hyper and lazy compared to the home schooled ones. I have found that the home schooled students are more disciplined and well more "normal." It really shocked me to find that many kids have not been taught cursive writing or how to read regular clocks, just digital ones. And the latest thing: I just discovered my 12-year-old student did not even know about Roman numerals! I remember being taught that in 3rd grade, I believe. Of course I am a "golden oldie." Roman numerals are used to diagram chords and I believe they are used extensively in guitar music, although I never learned to play the guitar. I have heard rumors for years that public schools are "dumbing down" our students, but now I am seeing this with my own eyes!
