Renal failure - Anon

Posted: Jan 31st, 2020 - 2:45 pm

Hello all.   I have been an MT for over 24 years and have been a type 2 diabetic for 23 years.  My creatinine has always been around the upper limits of normal at 1.2 but recently, my labs showed that my kidney function is decreasing.  My doctor changed my blood pressure medication and I have to go back in another month to have repeat labs.  All of this is especially rough with no insurance and we all know how little doing MT work pays, right?  On top of that, KS still owes me for several checks.  Yes, I quit and moved on but the lack of $$$ really takes its toll.  Are there any suggestions on how to improve my renal function besides stay hydrated?  Any comments would be appreciated.
