that established foreign policy (which he establishes with the input of the Secretary of State and experienced Diplomats and Advisors) should not get changed on a whim because it may have disastrous results. Trump does not listen to his advisors and often acts unilaterally on issues without realizing the consequences. That's what happened when he pulled out of northern Syria on a whim, which caused a big stir and lots of loss of life and loss of faith in us among our Kurdish allies there. Running his own shadow foreign policy in Ukraine using Rudy was just wrong. It could have and should have been done through the State Department with the input of the Secretary of State and his advisors, but NO, he didn't do that and look what has happened. He's firmly inserted his foot into his mouth and may very well have committed a crime. It's well known by White House staffers and members of Congress that he doesn't listen to anyone, even people who know far more than he does. He's an accident waiting to happen.
