I've been using ACA since it first began. If your family income is under a certain amount ($60-70,000, something like that), then you qualify. You may or may not get zero dollars, but it will be a lot less than full premium price. I pay 0 dollars because the price of the insurance is equal to what the credit is. In other words, it's a wash.

The "prices" our agent has used are the same as what healthcare.gov uses. An agent can't change the price of a policy. The agents are paid by the insurance company, so it is what it is. The agent can make your life easier in choosing what policy is best for you.

Note that not all insurance companies use the ACA. I would call a local agent in your area and speak to them, to make your life easier.

Note that the ACA can change, so take advantage while you can. FYI, with this new presidency, the government can no longer fine you if you don't have health insurance, and you're still okay if you have an pre-existing condition, as far as I know.

You need to sit with someone who is an expert so they can help you. Reach out to some local agencies and ask if they participate in the ACA.
