Healthcare.gov - tired fingers

Posted: Jun 11th, 2019 - 10:32 am In Reply to: Anyone getting insurance thru healthcare.gov? - I have a couple questions and want to ask SM

I've been using Healthcare.gov for my insurance for a few years now. Your best bet to understanding is an Advocate who can explain things. Yes, your premium could be $0 per month. It's kind of upfront credit you get for monthly premium. When you do taxes, you get a tax form from website and input your premium credit. In years past, I have even gotten extra money back on taxes. There is a possibility you could have to pay more when you do taxes if your income doesn't match up to what you've input on the website to calculate the premium. I go with a silver plan and use the doctors at my neighborhood low-income health clinic and pay maybe $23 a month in premium with no deductible and $0 copay for rx. It depends on plans in your area and the providers in your area. So you might have to do some research. But at least we have an option when we can't get it from working at these MT companies.
