standard deduction is so much higher. People are assuming, and the “news” is reinforcing, that anyone with taxes over $10K is being hurt by the new tax law.

If married couples can deduct $24,000 right off the bat, then they can have property taxes of $12,000, state income taxes of $7,000, and still come out ahead (without itemizing).

Like I said, a lot of deception here.

Probably 80-90% of those over $100k got a tax cut. 10-20% got a tax increase. And there’s some in every state of the union.
