US after WWII. I don't recall the US asking them to repay our country either. We sure bled and died in their countries to make sure they did not end up with Nazism or Communism.
How quickly they forget. Seems there would be some stick together of these countries instead of belonging to the EU and demanding we not put tariffs on either products. They do that to us all the time and we should just stop trading with them. I am sure there are other countries we could trade with who would be happy to have our goods and products.
