We have continued to follow with our local vet, and he told us there is no callus or bone union yet. He said if the bone does not heal, amputation would be an option. Of course, my heart sank when he said that.
Last week, a family member called to tell me she wanted to pay for the surgery to have his leg fixed. We are thrilled. Our local vet referred us to one of the top veterinarian orthopedic surgeons. We have a consultation on Tuesday.
