I am sitting here watching Morning Joe and feeling queasy as they are talking about how people are going to respond the day after a Hilary Clinton win.   I hate the way the media protrays Trump supporters.  We are very intelligent people who do have a life beyond politics but who do care about all people.  The fact is Hilary Clinton should be in jail.  Others that have commited less crimes than she has are in jail so what makes her so special.  She is protected by the media and politicians.  I pray that she does not get to be President, however, if she does and as a Trump supporter, I will treat others with respect and not anger.  For those that do support Hilary, be ready for open borders, more crime, harder struggles financially and probably no insurance because who will be able to afford it, disrespect to police, etc.  I honestly think if she is to be elected life as we know it now will be gone and the future of our families will be dismall.  I am really an upbeat person but this is very concerning to me.  Hilary Clinton and the establishment have had many years to do things to uplift the minorities, Latinos, etc., but they are stuck and need a change and Trump is their change.

shared concerns on the future - not on the Trump train

I too share your concerns about the future of this country. I understand the outrage of where we are as a country today. Neither of the 2 major candidates are the best choice in my opinion, and regardless of who wins, I have always and will continue to respect all people.

I don't consider Trump supporters as not intelligent. I can appreciate the passion that you share for your candidate the same way I do for who ever I choose to vote for.

You speak of things that are sure to happen if Hillary wins, and some of those things I question. I question not having insurance because no one can afford it? Well millions of us didn't have insurance before Obamacare because of the things insurance companies were allowed to get away with. I'm not saying Obamacare is the perfect solution. I realize it doesn't work for many people, but can it not be tweaked? Trump is for getting rid of it altogether, which puts millions of us back in the boat we have been in for decades without insurance. What is wrong with fixing what we have?

And you speak of disrespect to police? Are you implying that only democrats disrespect police? I don't get how that's a democratic versus republican issue. Respect is a 2-way street. And Trump clearly doesn't respect women. And in my opinion again, the police issue is at a boiling point because a group of them have not been held accountable for their actions. Again, not saying all police are bad. I personally respect everyone, including police.

I don't think anyone wants totally open borders and more crime, either democrat or republican. But I cant agree with a ban on all muslims nor agree with all Mexicans are criminals and rapists.

I pray for our country's future, for my future, for my children's future. I understand that we need change, I just do not believe Trump represents that change. I'm not sure really the alternative candidates are much better.

True. Election choices are either drinkng poison or being shot in the head - sm

I HATE, HATE, HATE having to vote for Hillary. She pisses me off to no end, but I consider that as drinking poison, hoping there is an antidote. Voting for Trump would be taking a shot in the head. There is no recovering from that. He not only makes me angry, but he scares me. Although he cannot actually do everything he says he is going to do, I think he is a dangerous person and would set the country back enormously.

The state of our country, at present, cannot really be blamed on Obama, Bush, Clinton, Regan, Republican or Democrat. This has been a long time coming. The dems have had majority control of our government for the last 48 years, and Republicans 49 years, or vice versa, I forget. Neither one of these candidates is going to fix it and we are put in the position of selecting the lesser of 2 evils. This is what it has come to. All the mud-slinging going on about sex scandals, e-mails, illnesses, "repealing" anything (not going to happen), taking away our guns (cannot happen), socialism, which we already do, etc. is distracting. We are being conned by both parties. Most people do not even know about REAL issues that actually affect our future and our children's future. The big money in politics and the constant party fighting has kept us from moving forward as a nation. The entire election process is not rigged, but it does need updating. Most qualified people do not stand a chance. Why are we not simulating what works for other nations? Sometimes I do think it is too late for us to progress any further except to our own destruction.

Yes, I WAS a liberal. I used to be proud of that. Liberals got the women the right to vote, African Americans the right to vote, created Social Security, lifted many of the elderly out of poverty, ended segregation. Liberals created Medicare, passed the Voting Rights Act, Civil Rights Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act.

How did we get here? Can either party come up with a candidate who could change things. Would they even be allowed to?

Obamacare totally. He wants to keep the things that were okay, like the pre-existing conditions, equal cost for females and males, and others that I can't think of right now.

I've heard Republicans state they wanted to keep the same items Trump does, but they want to make it more open between the states, making it a free market and across state lines for competition. They want to repeal the bad parts and make the good parts work.

BUT, to hear the Dems and the ads, all Republicans want to repeal Obamacare-period. Not so!!! Republicans have a plan but it's a shame the Dems are outright lying about it, saying they have none....and people believe them.

I just can't believe how gullible people are!

No matter who gets in, I think they better stop SuperPacs and others from putting out untrue ads, but that's just wishful thinking, isn't it?

I am from North Carolina and am embarrassed about how people can behave just to make a point.  Be civilized and know the facts before you destroy property and peoples livelihoods.  This is just sickening to me.  Life is not fair but just because there are a few bad apples does not mean all are bad.  We have to have Police so that we do not have chaos.  I don't know about you but I appreciate the police and what they do for me.  If a policeman tells me to put th ...

I am from North Carolina and wonder if there are people on here from NC  and wonder how do they feel about not showing ID at the polls.  I mean we have to show our ID's and it is a fairly simple process to get one so how is this discriminatory.  Can someone explain this to me.   I always thought that this was a way to help deter fraud.  I mean when Obama got elected there was definitely fraud so how can it be prevented?     ...

At my job the other day, I had to take some information for a client and needed a SS# (they were Hispanic but could have been anybody from another country) and she just basically told me she did not have one.  How right is this.  I could see me, an American, going into a place of business to get service and being asked my SS#, they would just laugh at me and tell me to move on.  This is just not right.  If you cannot be in this country legally then you don't need to resi ...

I just wanted to thank you for your post below and let you know that I responded to it. I don't know if you saw it or not, since I was a little tardy in responding, and with all the recent activity on the board, it's now down towards the bottom of the page. It's the post where you said you half agree with me and half disagree. I don't know if you didn't see it or just chose not to respond (which is fine). Either way, I thought your post was awesome and thank you for pos ...

While at work tonight, a gentleman approached me stating to my co-worker who happened to be black as he was that he liked the color of her skin.  I am sorry but this was a racist remark and I just idolly had to sit back and not say anything as I am professional.  I can only think that this person supports BLACK LIVES MATTER when I think ALL LIVES MATTER.  This statement was just crazy to me.  If people think that this country is not divided due to Obama and his establishment, ...

I think it is dispicable for the Clinton campaign to bring in people who for all intense purposes lives will be exploited (the model that just came out whos character is not the best) for years to come just like Monica Luwinsky.  Let's face it, Donald Trump is not perfect and neither is she.  However, in the big picture, as a voter, I honestly could care less about this issue.  The issues that I am most concerned with are the economy, immigration and military strength.  ...

This month on this forum we have read 3 stories from our sisters whose lives are being turned upside down by infidelity (and even stories of women who wish they were sister wives.)  I have to admit, my first instinct is to tell these sisters of ours to kick these dog men out of their lives and suck it up and get over them, that they deserve better than this, that no one should ever break our hearts like this.  Then this weekend my little sister came home and told the family that her h ...

My thoughts exactly. Absolutely impossible to post anything on this board that might in the least be able to be twisted into a negative against Pres Obama. I taught my sons and now my grandchildren first and foremost to be honest to establish a character that others can trust and respect, to be compassionate, to be open-minded but to be true and not swayed from their established values. I think almost any open-minded individual reading this board would agree there is very much a bullying nature ...
