I am from North Carolina and am embarrassed about how people can behave just to make a point.  Be civilized and know the facts before you destroy property and peoples livelihoods.  This is just sickening to me.  Life is not fair but just because there are a few bad apples does not mean all are bad.  We have to have Police so that we do not have chaos.  I don't know about you but I appreciate the police and what they do for me.  If a policeman tells me to put the gun down or put your hands up and don't move then I am going to do it and not act belligerant because I was taught to obey authority.  I really hope this ends soon so no more lives are lost.

I wish the people would listen to the truth before rushing to judgment.

I agree with everything you said.

Most people think investigations are instantaneous just like social media - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
That's part of the problem. Screaming to release the video before the investigation is done proves it.

Then there's the anarchists and professional rioters and looters. They couldn't give 2 cents whether the police are right or not. They just do this to destroy the rule of law. They do it because they may be able to get free stuff and they do it because it's fun.

A lot of you won't like what I'm going to say but that's too bad and it's the truth......If Obama would have acted like a leader and STAYED HOME instead of campaigning all over the world, putting America down every chance he got overseas (but note he doesn't do it here), and stop the stupid golfing "while Rome burns," we would still be a nation of law. Ignoring this country will putting it down to every other country he went to didn't get us any respect. He tore this country apart and most countries that had respect for us no longer does so.

Now he's scolding the black community if they don't vote to preserve his legacy????? Whatever....it's always been all about him, no one else. What ignorance. If he would stop and pay attention, he would see he has NO legacy to preserve.

I'll take it a step further. - SA

This mob behavior, thuggery, looting and beating up innocent men in parking garages have me totally turned off and conceding that I must be a racist because I do not like this behavior by the young blacks in this country. They are hurting themselves far more than what any white man could have ever done at this current time*.

* I am NOT talking about the damage done during the time of slavery. I am talking about current times.

Rioting is the new normal under BO. The facts don't matter. - How do they organize so fast?

[ In Reply To ..]
It's like they are just waiting.

Democrats have brought racism back to this country. It took - two generations to mostly eliminate

[ In Reply To ..]
it and now its back with this generation. Just blacks hate whites now.

Are you kidding me?? - LMT

[ In Reply To ..]
where have you all been for the last century?? Racism has NEVER gone away...wow you all need to go back a little further in your history books and read up. BO is not responsible for racism...the WHOLE government/country is and always has been. FYI it has never even been close to being eliminated...it has been a smoldering problem...always
I beg to differ. He had a big hand in initiating the racism we see today. - Truthhurts

Professor Gates vs. the policeman with the beer summit started it, when Obama called the police stupid. After that, it was Treyvon (if I had a son, he would look like him), Michael Brown, Eric Gardner, Freddie Gray, etc., etc. He didn't wait for the investigation to conclude. He came right out immediately or within a couple hours taking sides.

The media is also to blame. Instead of just a story about a man being killed by a police officer, they always put "black man killed by white police officer." Did they ever headline "white man killed by black police officer?" Not to my knowledge. If you have proof that the latter was done, point me to the proof.

I don't want to start a race riot here, but IMHO, a lot of racism comes mainly from one side. That side that still thinks today's generations are responsible for 250 years ago. It's a shame there's so much hatred, especially when blacks also owned slaves.
I agree. Obama had a chance as the first black (sm) - Olga

president to bring people together - if that had been what he wanted to do. It wasn't. Instead, as the rabble-rouser community organizer that he is, he started the division right away, yes, with the professor and the policeman. In one sentence, he said he didn't know the details, but the police acted stupidly. What? It's been downhill since. What a waste. He has done much damage to this country. I only hope it's not to late to repair it.

prove that nobody can bring the people together. No one person will ever be responsible for that. If we as a a people want to come together...then WE have to do it...not the government.
Obama and race - Oh, me!
[ In Reply To ..]
First of all, I'd like to point out to everybody involved here that Mr. Obama is not a black man - he is of mixed race in case you haven't noticed. His mother was white and his father was black, and he was raised by white grandparents primarily in Hawaii, which has little in the way of race-based problems - except in the case of ethnic Hawaiians. So why would he have any stake in fueling a race riot? He's been part of both worlds his whole life. I'm almost positive he apologized for his hasty reaction to Professor Gates. I'm not sure, though, whether it later turned out that he was right and Professor Gates was treated wrongly. I think when he responds to events in a way you don't like it is because he knows from first-hand experience that young black men get stopped and sometimes arrested by police for the crime of being black and walking down the street - particularly in Chicago. I completely understand why police do this - because a reasonable number of young black men in poor neighborhoods are suspect so they just stop everybody. But imagine if you are a young black man doing your best to survive yourself, wanting to make something of your life, and behaving in a decent and orderly way and you still get treated like a potential criminal? It weighs on the souls of our young people and eats away at their feelings of self-worth. I believe the fact that anybody successfully makes it out of having to grow up in such places is a tribute to the extraordinary character and determination they must have. I think those are the young black men Mr Obama tries to speak for. If you want to be against Mr. Obama, do so, but at least do it with the respect he deserves and not with racial epithets.

By the way, if you're talking about Charlotte's riot, you've got it dead wrong. I live in Charlotte. The people who turned the peaceful demonstration into a riot were simply thugs who wanted to loot - most of the ones that were arrested weren't even from Charlotte. Both black and white communities condemned their actions and tried to stop them - members of both communities were part of the demonstration. The victim's family has been very reasonable, but they have legitimate questions about what happened. As best I can tell from a few people who seem to know, there is real surprise that the police officer involved - who is black, if that matters - would make such a mistake, but I guess the investigation will have to determine that. He is certainly well respected in the community - again, as best I can tell from those who seem to know. So, how about stopping your knees from jerking and making judgements about an event you weren't part of? We normally get along very well here in Charlotte - the only negative is that we still have to talk about black and white communities and not just "a community." We've for sure had our moments, but as far as I can tell for as long as I have living here, there has been a consistent attempt to hold everybody accountable for their actions - both black and white.

How do they organize? - Soros is apparently behind it.

[ In Reply To ..]
the anarchists and they do exist. They will do anything to start a race war. I don't know who funds that but Black Lives Matter is a definite part of it. It has been proven that Ferguson was not true.

I feel for the policeman who had to quit his job and move elsewhere to protect his family. That should not be.

I know that there are bad apples in any police department and the superiors need to take any complaints seriously and investigate before it escalates.

I do think that there could be a better way to stop someone than shoot them. However, some can only be taken down this way.

Through social media. They just hang around waiting for moments like this. (no msg) - Truthhurts

Obama's legacy. He has caused so much hate and - division in this country. All the progress

[ In Reply To ..]
that has come in the last 50 years is all being reversed.

Barack Hussein Obama’s legacy is one of anti-Americanism, Black Liberation Theology, Radical Islamic apologist, ruination to the US Economy, ruination to US foreign policy, the worst race relations in over 50 years, the worst, out of control spending and debt in our history...and eight years full of lies and con games.

He is...without doubt, the worst President this nation has ever had...and he has done all he has done with a will. Not out of incompetence or any kind of mistake or misjudgment. He has meant to do every bit of it because he has a deep rooted hatred and antipathy for this nation.

He promised “fundamental change” and he has been delivering it with a will.

I pray was as a people will now turn away from this evil and get back on the right path.

What you're talking about is due to all the - Republicans in Congress.

Tthis kind of rhetoric reminds of the media. No one listens to you - anymore, we are laughing at you,

[ In Reply To ..]
No one cares anymore. We don’t need you. We don’t want you.

Obama has been in charge and gotten what he wants for the past 8 years. His fundamental change.
I seem to remember Obama telling blacks that "the time is coming soon." - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Guess that time is here. His plan for fundamental change is so blatant that anyone who doesn't see him for what he is, is blind.
Obama - Are you sure?
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not aware Mr. Obama has gotten much of what he wanted after the first 2 of his 8 years in office. Some of the appointments he made in 2012-2015 are still awaiting confirmation by the Senate. If he can't even get Senate confirmation of his nominees, it doesn't seem like he comes close to being somebody who can get whatever he wants. The fundamental change in our government, as I see it, is a do-nothing Republican-controlled Congress wasting incredible amounts of time and effort trying to make Mr Obama look bad and completely abandoning any attempt to move our country forward and making life better for us all. It didn't use to be this way - Republicans and Democrats in Congress used to work together and got quite a bit done - Social Security, Medicare, Voting Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, to name a few - those were all bipartisan efforts and made people's lives better. Instead, we now have a Congress dominated by small minds and selfish hearts. Very sad.

Could you mention some specific things that happened that you think he did that made the country worse?

Sorry, no cigar. That only works with the hard core left. - The rest of us can see with our

Oh? What happened to the Dem full control for years? - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
Nothing happened then except blocking Republicans from getting anything done. They're still doing it even though they're in the minority now.

Watch the sessions...especially the Senate when Dirty Harry spews his hatred of everything Republican. Thank heavens he won't be back in January but because his group was the majority for at least 6 years, he couldn't be brought up on charges of ethics violations and/or censure.

THen watch the Black Caucus. They also spew hatred at everything Republican.

I'm hoping the Republicans gain even more seats this time around so things get done.

It's time corruption is snuffed out.

This is his legacy, plus the Iran nuclear deal. Just wait until Iran - decides to use it against Israel.

[ In Reply To ..]
Russia is blaming the U.S. for the Syrian bombing the other day. They complained in the U.N. about it.

Netanyahu told the U.N. if Iran gets nuclear, they (Iran) won't be a country anymore. He will take care of them. He refuses to lay down to Hamas or Iran. Tough leader. Too bad we don't have a tough leader. Don't forget how Hillary supported and backed the former PLO and now Hamas.
Sorry, got off track. Look at a map. - Truthhurts

China and Russia on the west coast. Russia is how close to Alaska? China is how close to Hawaii? And getting closer every day with their fake island building.

Then there's Russia and Iran on the east coast, plus Russia and Cuba in the south. We are being surrounded by enemies and this administration doesn't see it. How stupid is that/

Truer words have not been written. - Thank you!

I am from North Carolina and wonder if there are people on here from NC  and wonder how do they feel about not showing ID at the polls.  I mean we have to show our ID's and it is a fairly simple process to get one so how is this discriminatory.  Can someone explain this to me.   I always thought that this was a way to help deter fraud.  I mean when Obama got elected there was definitely fraud so how can it be prevented?     ...

I think it is dispicable for the Clinton campaign to bring in people who for all intense purposes lives will be exploited (the model that just came out whos character is not the best) for years to come just like Monica Luwinsky.  Let's face it, Donald Trump is not perfect and neither is she.  However, in the big picture, as a voter, I honestly could care less about this issue.  The issues that I am most concerned with are the economy, immigration and military strength.  ...

This month on this forum we have read 3 stories from our sisters whose lives are being turned upside down by infidelity (and even stories of women who wish they were sister wives.)  I have to admit, my first instinct is to tell these sisters of ours to kick these dog men out of their lives and suck it up and get over them, that they deserve better than this, that no one should ever break our hearts like this.  Then this weekend my little sister came home and told the family that her h ...
