i need a miracle

I don't have cancer. My kids aren't sick. My husband and I aren't divorcing. My family will soon suffer from my incredible stupidity if something drastic doesn't happen soon. I think about suicide every day but I can't leave my oldest son yet as he is only 14 I don't have anyone I trust to leave him to.

I am not religious but I am screaming to any God who will listen. I also know...sometimes God says no.

What was so incredibly stupid that it would prohibit forgiveness? - Curious

Not to be nosey (well, okay, I kind of have to be nosey since you were so vague), but what the heck could you have done that you deem it to be an act of "incredible stupidity?"

I could be way off the mark here but since you said your entire family would suffer from it, the first thoughts I had were running up incredible debt with a gambling issue or having an affair that's about to come to light.

I find it very difficult to believe that your entire family would be unable to forgive you and move forward for a single act of stupidity. It may take time, regardless of what the issue is, but you'll all just have to work together to move forward.

As far as the suicidal comments, I by and large believe suicide to be a very permanent and devastating to those left behind solution to a temporary problem. I'd advise seeking a therapist or calling a crisis hotline if you're serious about contemplating such an act.

Good luck to you, whatever the issue is. Perhaps you should also consider telling your spouse/family what the issue is before the bottom falls out so they can prepare for whatever it is.

no matter what DOES happen, if you put your trust in the Lord, he will never forsake you. He is able to get you through whatever may lie ahead.

We have all done stupid things, bad things, hurtful things, etc. Let's also pray that God will lead you to someone who understands that we are all sinners and God's forgiveness is available for ALL. You have not done something that no one else has ever done.

Remember, where there is life, there is hope. Life can be so hard. We suffer because of others and things outside ourselves, and we also suffer because of things we have done. God DOES love you, and he WILL NOT forsake you. You are not alone.

well even if I don't get a miracle just being able to accept - the things I cannot change

We can pray for you and be here for you, but If you are thinking about suicide you need more help than anybody here can give you. I second what the previous poster posted about giving your heart to God. God made us and even HE doesn't expect us to be perfect! He KNOWS we're not perfect and loves us anyway!

I bet I know what the problem is, you can't find a job after doing this for so many years. Me too. After 27 years of transcription. And the stupid thing is committing suicide. Well that would not be good for your son. Something will change and get better. It might get worse before getting better, but no matter what you have to hang in there for your son. 14 is way too young to be on his own. I hope things get better for you and I will pray for both of us and everybody else that is in this same position. Start thinking positive and good things will happen. It will get better. :)

Job, kids, husband, house, work, confusion, rat race, troubles, money worries, struggles all around. These are there, but they are not you. I want to tell you about my friend who is in the miracle business. He has enough mercy and grace and love to reach down and bless you and provide you with a way out that, for whatever reason, you cannot see right now. He loves you so much that He gave His life for you, as He did for me, and He is just waiting for you to reach out to Him and allow Him to come into your life and work in your life in ways that you cannot even begin to comprehend. His name is Jesus, and His grace is sufficient for your need, whatever that need might be.

How do I know all this? Because I, too, have done stupid things that have caused my family a lot of hurt and there were times when I felt I was too stupid to live. But He showed me differently. He has saved me spiritually and He has saved me physically, and it was all because of the prayers of many great prayer warriors who lifted me and my family up to Him.

Is my life perfect now? No, not by a long shot. But I do know that one day I will have a perfect life when I leave this old earth, and for that I am eternally grateful to Him. I have prayed for you and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless.

but I feel more at peace today and ready to face my problems head on. It is $35,000 in unsecured debt. Not gambling debt but really things I did not have to have but things I thought would make my kids lives or my life better. Just stupid and pointless. I just want to keep my house and if I can do that i don't care about ever having a new car or even a new couch. I just want my kids to finish out their school years in their childhood home where they ride their bikes and skateboard on the sidewalk.

Many times I wished that I just wouldn't wake up in the morning. And the bad part is it was just for stupid stuff I didn't really need, but thought I did because my friends had it. Hang in there because it can get better. I started selling my stuff on eBay which has helped keep me afloat just enough to go on. The worst thing would be for you to leave your children, husband, and all the people who care for you even if you don't know it.

how lucky I am. How lucky he is alive...he was pushed off of a skateboard by another kid but he caught himself with his hands instead of hitting his head on the pavement. It could have turned out so differently. I am on my knees thanking God. the debt seems so insignificant after this. I am thankful for God opening my eyes.

Thank you for your story Lilah. My husband and I had a talk about all of this. We are cancelling things like phones and satellite and we do have some things we can sell and even though it will be rough we will make it through.

doesn't matter what time of the day or week and ask to talk with someone. They are trained to help you through these hard times and who knows, you may find comfort there. It costs nothing and you WILL NO DOUBT learn, you are worth being here and I want you here. I want to do anything I can to help you so, if you feel like gabbing back and forth, whatever, please and I mean it, email me and I would love to listen to whatever you want to say. If you think you are really close to dying, go to the emergency room and ask to speak to a social worker/doctor. They will give you some good feedback. I will put you on my prayer list. I found out a few years ago that I was not able to do this life on my own, if not for God. Pray, even though you don't know how and fake it till you make it! Someone said that to me a long time ago and I did it and I got it! There is hope out there. Please, talk with someone and know that you are loved even though you might not think you are. Oh, my goodness. This little angel, Grace Anna, has a Facebook page that features her singing. She's 3 years old and was born with a myriad of rare anomalies, one of which is dwarfism. I've just been mesmerized whatching this miracle unfold 24/7. My heart was pounding as #1 cave entrapment survivor was lifted to the surface. Up to #5 and so far everything going as planned. Will hold my breath untiil all 33 and 4 rescuers are safe and out. I just hope and pray this capsule and tunnel endure the many trips required to rescue all! Extraordinary night!
