The power of prayer

I've had to have a lot of dental procedures lately, including a new partial, extractions, and now a filling in a tooth that may require a root canal. I am in so much pain and the medication makes me throw up. It's been such an emotionally exhausting process. I've spent hundreds of dollars so far and still have possibly another $1000+ to go, and as you guys know, in this line of work, it is killing me financially.

I just ask that if you're reading this right now, please say a prayer for me. I don't want my family and friends to know what I'm going through and I'm trying to be brave and have faith. I do very much believe in the power of prayer when others can come together and I need God's healing more than ever right now.

Back to the dentist today and filling is getting infected. Tried 3 different types of pain meds and nothing is touching the pain. On antibiotics until I can get this root canal done. At this point, I don't care how much it costs as long as they stop the pain. I've had two babies and this pain is far the most hellish I've ever had in my life.

Doubt much of the pain will go away till the antibiotics kick in and then you should get a lot of relief.

I know how nerve wrecking this can be trying to do anything with all the pain.

I wonder if you will have to have it pulled. Do they just have to do the root canal. They are so terribly expensive. Also there is a cap that doesn't cost as much as a gold one. Ask him about that. I had to have one replaced and it cost me a lot less than a gold one did.

This is what I do and it works. (Doesn't work for one of my kids but does with the others, so you might want to try it and see.) This won't cause harm or anything if it doesn't work, so there's nothing to lose. Have you ever heard of cloves? Ground cloves (can buy in Walmart or just about anywhere) mixed with just barely enough water to make it a paste, put this on the painful area... don't swallow!! Keep it there as long as you can tolerate it. For me, sometimes 15 or 30 seconds is all I can stand it. Then spit it out, rinse carefully, still don't want to swallow. Sometimes, I get good results the first time, sometimes it takes another dose or 2 over the course of the day, but I've never had it fail. There's no sleepy side effects like I get from everything else, and I have lifelong dental problems. I put this paste on a Q-tip and try to hold it in place that way. Saliva usually ramps up a lot in body's effort to get rid of this as it's pretty weird to hold cloves in your mouth, but when I'm in pain, I just want relief.

I was just terminated from my job at TTS this morning. I made a mistake in a cc request. This is after months of 100% QA scores. Have worked at this local company for the past 7 years - I have put in long hours and for the last 5 was hired exclusively to be the only transcriptionist for this busy PT/OT/ST rehab clinic. Please pray for me. I have been struggling with insomnia for years, and it is really taking a toll on me. I have tried all different medications for sleep which leave me feeling so ill the next day that I can't function at all. I am asking for prayer for my mother, Deanne. She has been suffering from spinal stenosis, ankle replacement problems, and now knee problems.
