A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I have taken the course at Career Step in 2008 and graduated with a certificate of graduation with honors. I have worked and studied so hard to be a medical transcriptionist. To make a long story short, I landed a job at 3 different companies within 6 months...and the mt thing did not work out for me. Most companies don't hire you unless you have 2 or more years experience, which is hard to get when nobody will give you a chance.
However, I just interviewed at a hospital to be a hearing screener for newborn babies. It is different from medical transcription, and I think this would work out a lot better for me. The human resources department is running a background check on me. I am waiting to hear back.
I am praying my background check passes, and I will get this job as a hearing screener. The hospital is 5 minutes away from my house, the hours fit perfectly around my children's schedule, AND I think I would really enjoy working with newborn babies.
SO I am praying that I will indeed get this job and will succeed at it. Thank you for your prayers. :)
