in a calm and rational manner this country's problems with race. O'Reilly explained it very well; that was the best talking points I have ever seen him do. People on the other side of the aisle on this board don't want to discuss anything that they don't agree with - if you're interested, I know a place where you can discuss rationally - both sides of an issue. If you're interested, I've checked the box above and will respond to your post. Not sure how it works.

Including gun violence between young black people. So O'Reilly was factually in error on that point, and quite a few others.

I have personally participated in protests against gun violence between young black people. These kinds of protests are ongoing, and they in general DO NOT garner national headlines. Local yes, but not national.

I agree that rational discussion is good - but it's not rational if it's not based on FACT.

In each of these cases, the victims were African Americans younger than 30, and the people charged also were young black men....

I don't really get it either. What does any of that have to do with protesting black-on-black crime? Her post was about protests, not crime statistics.

That's false. Your provided irrelevant FBI statistics. He also made other statements about people in leadership positions and organizations NOT doing anything about violence between black people that was false. He mischaracterized responses to rates of violence in predominately black communities - which is to say O'Rielly (as he so often does) LIED to make his case.

On my mind has been the stealth helicoptor that was left behind in the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. I think the young heroes on that raid just got a little too anxious on that one. We could talk about whether or not America tortures people, waterboarding, etc. I believe that torture isn't right, whether it's being done to or by American soldiers. I am reading down the board and lots of posters are insulting other posters. Some have got insults mixed in with the subject matter it's becoming difficult to find where it starts. One newspaper said that Mrs Obama had backed out of the summit to avoid being overshadowed by the "very beautiful" Mrs Peng, while another called it a "national shame". This is bad, but just one more thing on the list of how they don't respect anyone. She needs to learn what her duties are as FLOTUS.
