Most of my friends and family fact checks and does research. My cousin in law is a lost cause. He is a rabid democrat and does not like Trump. During a phone call he said out of nowhere that Trump owed taxes and I replied that Warren Buffet owes more then a billion and he had no idea.

As far as the left, I’ve never seen so many people FORCE themselves to be ignorant, lest they run across an undeniable fact that clashes with their world view. Their minds are hammered shut.

investigative journalism, have won dozens to over 100 awards for excellence in journalism, and have writers who've been nominated for literally hundreds more.

And then there're excellent, award-winning online journals, etc., etc., etc. By far most of this stuff never gets read, but as a moderate-info voter I know where to look for information. And that's critically important.

After all the kind and quality of stuff we allow to soak into our brains matters. Our brains run new information by our funds of knowledge for evaluation, and if those have been self indulgently stuffed with enjoyable lies and other trash... GIGO.

keeps many people from joining the Trump suicide march. It is so obvious that he does not understand many of the matters he is in charge of, but worse he has no drive to learn about them. It is painfully obvious that he just pushes many things that he does not understand (Afghanistan for one)off onto other people to handle (Mattis) so he doesn't have to be bothered by them. He does sound rather bumbling in many of the interviews and not at all presidential. Hopefully the world will see that we made this mistake but will fix it in 3 years and 4 months. Sadly, I wish almost any republican candidate had won rather than he!
