Thank you Nevada

Posted: Jul 22, 2011

Ironic.  Mr. Reid rejects the only plan actually voted upon in Congress and tells the other legislative body to do something as he sits with his finger up his posterior failing to offer ONE concrete solution legislatively.  A huge thank you to Nevada for re-electing this worthless piece of crap.
I'm about to the point where republicans should just shut and up and let the democrats come up with a plan.  The pubs keep throwing themselves out there with plan after plan and are continually rejected while the crats call the pubs unwilling to compromise and the party of no.  Yet all I see are the crats saying no and not coming up with a plan of their own.  I saw pubs back off and let the crats run the show.  Let Obama come up with something for once so when it doesn't work...because we all know that continued outrageous spending and taxing the rich without fixing loopholes in the tax code is gonna fail....then perhaps Obama will actually have to answer for something.
If this debt ceiling is so important that this must be done sooner rather than later, why haven't the crats come up with a plan with specific numbers.  I hear a bunch of stuff thrown out but nothing really specific and to the point where we can all follow along.  Then again....the democratic party is the party of...YOU GOTTA PASS IT TO FIND OUT WHAT'S IN IT.

Have they called your bluff yet? - Getting a bit nervous about that 401K?

Looks like the T.P. isn't going to save your retirement and you are willing to let President Obama do it?

Take a deep breath.

Agree. Reid is a joke..and yes, pubs are the only - one's with a plan. All the other side does is

criticize and villify... yet Obama and the dems have NOTHING planned in writing.. nothing. We must cut spending to save the budget. Even if we raise taxes on the rich, it will not come close to curing the debt crisis that Obama has expanded! Obama is the biggest failure as president, probably worse than even Carter at this point. High unemployment, high debt, no solutions. I am losing hope.

Harry Reid - Old Hand

As a Nevadan, I have to defend my fellow Nevadans. We did not elect Harry Reid. The vote fraud was massive. Sharron Engle went into the election several points ahead in the polls!

I can believe that. I have friends in Nevada who - swear he was NOT elected by the people.nm

No she did not, Harry Reid (and Ross Miller) cheated! - Nevada Voter

Sharron Engle went into that election several points ahead in the polls. She won Northern Nevada easily but because of the massive massive massive fraud, (aided and abetted by the SOS, Ross Miller) in Clark County we have had Dingy Harry foisted on us for six more years, or until we can get the govt here that is going to investigate this fraud and do something about it. I don't know what we the citizens of this country can do about this cheating, but until and unless we do, we are not a free people.

The point is, the teaparty has to grow up and - learn to compromise - sm

Apparently the House Teaparty and Pubs need a math class too. Senate--Democrat majority. Sitting president--Democrat. TP/pub House needs to go back to elementary school 101--The art of getting along and good citizenship.

I do believe that the tea part needs to give - sm

a little as well but it is our president who makes demands like he is the King of the USA and makes no compromise yet lectures everyone else about how they should compromise. I'm amazed by how blind some of you people are. No matter what you wanna blame on Bush and the pubs the fact still remains that our economy is worse now than it was under Obama. A lot of people are to blame for that but this is Obama's administration now. This president has no real intention of cutting spending and if any of our politicians gave a crap about bringing in more revenue, they would close the loopholes in the tax code so Obama's buddies...like Immelt and GE...would have to pay taxes instead of paying ZERO amount of taxes.

I just hope any hypocrites here aren't beneficiaries of Social Security or Medicare - Jean

Because you can SURE BET that Mitch McConnell is taking full advantage of Medicare along with the FEHBP (Federal Employees' Health Benefits Plans) and that rich SOB along with anybody else over 65 in Congress pay ABSOLUTELY NO CO-PAYMENTS, DEDUCTIBLES OR CO-INSURANCE! Most if not all Republicans are hypocrites, and I hope the default causes the destruction of that party. As far as coming up with a "plan," Obama was perfectly willing to compromise, giving the Republicans a golden opportunity to get the budget balanced on the backs of the poor, the seniors, and what's left of the middle class. The only "plans" the Republicans have come up with do just that, while leaving the rich such as themselves and the corporations paying nary a dime more of income tax. They have kept all the money for themselves for the past 30 years while constantly lowering wages for the middle class. Look at the MTSO's and how they have driven medical transcription from a good job into a poor-wage proposition. Sheesh! Oh, and incidentally, the United States has the smallest, thinnest safety net for foks of any country in the Western world, not to mention the disgrace it is to have no (as yet) universal access to medical care, and the Republicans are trying to do away with that. Why do you suppose that is? So they can get more money for their campaigns, etc. Get real, people, and stop being so hypocritical. The Republicans are destroying this country and have been trying to do so ever since Reagan fired the air traffic controllers in 1980.

This spin only works on the Murdoch planet, now spinning out of control - in the furthest corners of the universe.
