Terrorism does not discriminate

Posted: Sep 21, 2016

You can be anywhere now and a radical islamist/terrorist can attack you for your religion and beliefs.  This is a crazy world we live in.  I just hope that we as people can be vigilant through all of this and speak up even if they are family, friends or neighbors because in the end we all need each other in some respect.  I also believe that we should use profiling if necessary if it means the safety of people in America.  Forget about political correctness.

I just watched 1984 on Amazon Prime. I have that - Winston Smith feeling again.

The ironfisted omnipotence and control of the autocrats more concerned with political correctness/ramifications rather than people is duly noted in their favorite agitprop.

MSM is always desperate to hide Islam/Muslim faith of the - attackers. When their job is creating

The other side of the tolerance is truth. If this truth is ignored, - we are doomed.

I support behavioral profiling but not profiling on the - basis of race, gender, religion etc.

[ In Reply To ..]
When you hear Trump say that Israel does profiling "and it works", he's right but they do mainly behavioral profiling. They've become very expert at spotting even very subtle behaviors that are almost impossible for potential attackers to control or eliminate.

The reason I don't support profiling on the basis of other characteristics like race, etc is simply because these traits aren't reliable enough, especially since we have a multinational population in which it's very easy for someone to blend into the crowd. They've used women, they've used children, they've used people who weren't Middle Easterners, etc.

Honestly, I do not think you can have it both ways and be safe. To me, profiling is profiling and if it benefits the whole population of the country go for it.

So you want to establish a culture that sets people against each other, becoming a nation of snitches, overwhelming law enforcement with "tips" about family, friends and neighbors who don't look or act exactly right to you? And you want to totally trash the Constitution in the process? There is no way to be safe until we eliminate the reasons people become terrorists in the first place - the complete lack of hope for a useful future. People who see a future for themselves don't blow themselves up. The United States is beginning to experience what most of the rest of the world has had to live with for decades - innocent people leaving their homes every day to go about their business never knowing if they will come home alive - or even if their homes will be there when they get back. If you really want to profile people, though, I suggest we profile all handgun owners since they are much more likely to kill you than a terrorist is.

Here's Something Regarding Terrorism That Jun 15, 2016
As with most of these incidents, it always seems to come out after the fact that people - whether coworkers, acquaintances, etc. - were aware of something suspicious but were afraid to say anything, for a variety of reasons - but one of the main reasons is LEGAL LIABILITY, especially with respect to workplace situations.  The United States is the most litigious society in the world, with far more lawyers per 1000 population than any other.  These lawyers, for the most part, are just w ...

War On Terrorism: Obama Administration Has BeenOct 27, 2012
Warning for the bloodthirsty, this may be a little more real and cold-blooded than even you care for. We're also coming up quickly on over 3000 innocents killed in our drone attacks, a milestone in that innocent deaths overseas will increasingly exceed those 9/11 deaths we've used as a justification for this approach. Note Obama's "Terrorism Tuesdays" devoted to fighting this new kind of war that replaces conventional action and mostly lets our kids stay home. From the Washington ...

One day after Democrats excoriated Rep. Paris To Build A "wall" Around Eiffel Tower As TerrorismJun 30, 2017
Americans are still waiting for a border wall, but France is set to get a wall of their own by the end of the year. Unlike the American iteration, this barrier won’t be erected on the French border. It’s set to surround the Eiffel Tower to shield it from terrorist attacks. Last month, the Paris city council approved a $20 million bulletproof glass wall, just over 8 feet high, that will surround the iconic tower. In a country proudly obsessed with art and beauty, this will be an obno ...
