Never thought I would say that.

Either Obamacare gets replaced or those Republicans who vote against it - will be replaced. Ryan is paid for by

George Soros as I'm sure some other establishment GOP types are. There are many Republicans who STILL do not understand why Trump was elected. They like their power in Washington, just like the Democrats.

Trump is the only wild card that MAY make the difference.

Failure to repeal Obamacare will result in a loss of 30-70 seats by the GOP in the US House in the 2018 midterm elections. It’ll destroy their base’s turnout. I hope they realize that.

The only way they could get away with not repealing it - would be if they were to get rid of

[ In Reply To ..]
the mandates and make the costs be privatized or voluntarily assumable by State governments or NGO’s who want to save it.

For example, George Soros could breath a few weeks life into Obamacare by paying for all the high risk pools himself. It won’t leave him any money left for politics but he would at least get to leave behind of legacy of being known as one who cared instead of being a powermonger. Same goes for the ACLU and other organizations.

Spoken by a serial loser. So when he told ue they couldn't repeal - it because the Democrats held the

Senate, we gave you the Senate, and then you told us you couldn't repeal it because a Democrat was in the White House, and then we gave you the White House...

That was all a big, fat lie. Right?

Boehner is a snake but he knows what the House intentions are. Ryan is a liar and has no - intention of repealing and/or

replacing the ACA.

Trump has said the tax cuts must follow the repeal. So no repeal no tax cuts. Ryan must go.

I agree Boehner is a snake and Ryan is - a liar

and I could think of other words to describe them but won't mention them.

There are a higher percentage of people (all parties) who do not want the ACA gone. The republicans know if they pull it out from under people they will suffer. They also know for the most part it is a good thing. They only oppose it because it happened during Obama's time in office.

In my book, the only way they can come up with something better is national healthcare and if Trump can pull that off I would give him a kudos.

He did get rid of the penalty. He needs to get rid of the taxes on - medical devices. Right now

bureaucrats have tools to control chronically ill, elderly, and disabled people. Obamacare added over 100 new boards, commissions, and programs. For example, a new Medicare Commission, judicial review exempt, unilaterally writes rules about utilization and pricing of medical devices and drugs needed by surgeons. The Independent Payment Advisory Board makes decisions about allowable levels of Medicare funding for therapies.

The amount of power that the ACA pulled toward government and elites is astronomical. Unfortunately Bonehead may be right.

So essentially one beast (insurance) has been traded for another (govt).

The Uniparty LIKES Obamacare. The Democrats wearing R jerseys are not going to vote to repeal it.

We have national insurance. It's called Medicaid - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
Where do you think most of those on ACA are really being controlled? As far as I know, those high risk patients are really on Medcaid-funded health insurance. That's why Obama pushed for the states to cooperate and push the Medicaid idea...plus he knew regular insurance companies wouldn't take them.

Then there's Medicare. That's also nationalized insurance except you need a supplement and prescription coverage, both of which cost $$, because Medicare doesn't cover prescriptions.
I read that Canada is thinking of implementing a - a universal basic income in some of their

provinces. You can bet those towns will quadruple in size overnight.

We already have that here. It's called welfare.

as a consultant to market their "plan"

Members of Congress don't know much but they can count - votes. The voters hate Obamacare and

[ In Reply To ..]
want it repealed. That is absolutely true.

It’s also true that they want the ability to buy insurance for pre-existing conditions, want insurance companies to be forbidden to cancel policies for non-payment, want zero payment at the point of service, want their adult children who are smoking dope in a dive in Oakland to stay covered, want their States to expand Medicaid without taxes going up, and so on.

In other words, the only two things they hate about Obamacare are paying for it, and the name.

Republicans in Congress understand this perfectly well, which is why there’s no plan.

And, not coincidentally, Obamacare is the culmination of 50 years of “reform”, all of which had the purpose of destroying the private sector or making it impossible for the private sector to function, except for boob jobs and a few other things. And, by 2009, the mission was largely accomplished.

Obamacare was merely a temporary mop-up operation, until full nationalization was possible.

And now, it is. Trump will propose single payer within the year. It’s really the only way out at this point.

But it’s coming, because it’s what the voters, bless their pointy little heads, want.

Maybe some of the voters - hate the ACA

[ In Reply To ..]
Some of the voters even hated it and then re-thought that hate once they realized what it would mean. We would go back to the same where only people with money could afford insurance, prices would skyrocket like they were before ACA, preexisting conditions would not be covered, etc.

I don't know anybody in the category you mentioned above that want the ACA. I know people that had preexisting conditions who couldn't get insurance before and now can.

I'm proud to be one of those pointy little heads who would love national healthcare like most of the civilized world has.

Trump said he was going to keep the preexisting condition part, - but how to pay for it has to be addressed,

[ In Reply To ..]
and once that turns into an emotional conversation nothing ever gets done. So the can gets kicked down the road until the next crisis.

Somebody has to look at the big picture.

This works great for the first two months. Then when the - money runs out...

Somebody always pays. To sustain this, our children will be paying an 80% tax rate.

The plan was to have millennials buy insurance, but they - can stay on their parents' insurance

[ In Reply To ..]
until age 26, so duh, why buy a policy if you can do that! Plus they are forgoing insurance because it's too expensive. So money was "transferred" from Medicare to Obamacare. It's going broke. Some of it has to be repealed.

Maybe they - should have

[ In Reply To ..]
left the mandate and penalty. It was said right from the get-go that everybody needed to have insurance in order for it to work. Maybe if your kid is going to college to be a doctor or some other profession that takes many years you would appreciate your kid being able to be on it until they are 26. It's not just the dope smoking kids as somebody pointed out. My kid is in his early 20s, has a job, lives at home and has his own insurance.

A little about the Medicare bankruptcy claim in this fact-check article.
The govt forcing people to purchase anything is unconstitutional, - but they were very clever in convincing

people that this was not the case. It's too late for that now. Once that freedom is gone, it's gone.
Then we could have national - healthcare - nm

should be recovered by taking it out of the salaries of current and former politicians who supported illegal immigration and out of federal funds for sanctuary cities, and by tariffs on countries sending the highest numbers of illegal immigrants. Then we could use that to pay for pre-existing conditions and put it in the Medicaid fund. Or better yet, help our vets.

This is what a "civilized society" does. Takes care of its own first.
Pen and phone. That's how we got in this situation, it's - how we'll get out.

The White House specifically wanted to exclude Fox News from interviewing the pay czar while making him available to all the other outlets (oh, but the White House is NOT trying to silence Fox News...yeah, pull the other leg)....the managers of the other outlets got together and said if the White House did not allow Fox News an interview, they would not participate either.  GOOD FOR THEM!!  I am glad to know THEY believe in freedom of speech and the press EVEN if this administration DO ...
