The more vehemently the posters below defend the violent rhetoric they so closely embrace, the deeper hole they dig for their agenda. The more they twist our words, yell "shame on you," and tell us to stop the "hate speech," the more damage they do to the Tea Party's image. Thank you for showing everyone on this forum your true colors and helping ensure the demise of the Tea Party.

Baseless accusations and innuendo, you have no proof of what you accuse, engaging in the worst possible kind of hate speech. Let me tell you one thing...I am NOT a tea party member, I am an Indpendent. I am disgusted as an American citizen that people are actually PROUD of promoting hate of an entire group of people over what one deranged person did, with absolutely NO proof of connection.

Yes, SHAME on you for engaging in that, and PITY on your for thinking that is something you should do.

I don\'t care one whit about the image of the tea party. I care about the image of the Unites States of America, and I am disgusted that there are people like you out there willing to focus hatred on an entire group of people based on what a few have done and worse than that, be PROUD Of yourself for doing so.

Do you honestly think that any of this is going to bring Independents like myself closer to your side of the fence?

How have YOU developed such a hatred for a group of people you don\'t even know? If your little post here caused a tea party member to be shot, would you be proud of that too?

I couldn't agree more with your post. Clearly, this kid is deranged and has gotten lost "in the system"...we see a lot of that in our line of work. The only "point" I have concluded from reading all of "sm" posts, she is leaning on the edge of the same.

The use of "sm" means "see message" and there have been many posts from both sides using that in the Nickname/Alias box. Just another example of how confused you are.

Yours is the worst kind of hate speech...for that sole purpose. You know there is absolutely no evidence for what you are putting forward, and you do it anyway. You seek to divide the country further when you should be about joining it, if your motives were altruistic. They obviously are not.

You do more harm to yourself and the ideology your are trying to promote on the backs of the head and wounded...than anything positive that might ever come of it (though I cannot imagine what that might be).

It is hard to tell who is how on this board when not using a REAL moniker. This is the way MTStars has always been for the years I have been here. Then Sherri had the board, it was specified to use one. If there was no message behind the subject, we typed 'nm' or (nm). It kept people from wasting time opening a message just to see an icon or period.

There are a lot of people lately who think they can hide behind an 'sm', 'nm' or lengthen their thoughts by finishing their thoughts only in the subject and half of it gets cut off because there's only so many characters allowed in the subject.

Using a moniker also separates a person's identify from someone else who may want to use the same 'sm' or 'nm'. How about trying it for a change?

There used to be a lot of interesting posters on this board, and as soon as the majority of posters saw their monikers, they jumped all over them with attacks. It didn't make a difference what the message was in their posts; they were just attacked for being them.

If I post a message, I'd like someone to actually read the message and view it with an open mind. That's the only reason I don't use a moniker. Sadly, I believe the interesting posters just gave up and went away. I personally don't visit here much any more, and most of the time when I do, I don't post anything, though sometimes I do.

Although you and I don't agree very much politically, your posts are always gracious and honest. If you disagree with someone, you do it on the merits of the post involved, you don't attack the individual poster, and you're generally treated with the respect you deserve, so I don't really expect you to understand what it's like for your message to be ignored and constantly attacked based on your moniker.

I think you brought up a good point with this topic, and my post is just one explanation of why it's done. Since there are other posters who use "sm" or "nm" as monikers, since they're not all by me, there may be more reasons out there. If so, I'd like to read them.

It is also not required by MTStars that we use a moniker. We are free to use sm, nm, or anything else we choose.

So, does this mean they are worried about the upcoming election? I think so....but also think the pubs should worry, too. They also have a lot to lose.
