Juror B37 wants new law.

Posted: Jul 17, 2013

So, now the woman who was going to write a book is speaking out about Florida's self-defense laws:

""My prayers are with all those who have the influence and power to modify the laws that left me with no verdict option other than 'not guilty' in order to remain within the instructions. No other family should be forced to endure what the Martin family has endured," she wrote."

;

Juror is a double-talking duplicitous person - Said to be "gushing" over "George&q

She only changed her tune from being convinced "George" was in fear for his life justifying the shooting of Trayvon and saying his heart was in the right place, being SURE Zimmerman would have reported anyone as suspicious and not profiling Trayvon because he was black.

Four other jurors released statement that this juror who gave interview did not speak for them further leaving this jurist who seemed fond and understanding of Zimmerman standing alone.

Last night her interview was dissected by lawyers and it appeared she had an affinity for "George" as she fondly referred to him. They also found her condescending to Trayvon and Racheal referring to them as "they" as if they were foreign. Jane Velez Mitchell on HLN said this juror appeared to "gush" over Zimmerman and I got the same impression.

To save face, she is saying the law should be changed. That's just not going to fly after the damage she did to herself by giving the interview as a Zimmerman apologist.

She is definitely double-talking. Scary that she - had a say in a decision like this.

Some are saying she was a stealth juror - Zimmerman supporter from get-go

She is getting a lot of flack from all sides including her fellow jurors She made a mistake doing that interview and exposing her feelings but has opened an interesting racial dialogue how even if you are not an outright racist, you carry a bias and identify with people of your background and skin color. Great debate last night on CNN and excellent points made.
most experts feel she should not have been on the jury - nm

I heard that last night - Biased statements
[ In Reply To ..]
In pre jury interview she referred to Trayvon as "a boy of color" which was one-step away from calling him a "colored boy" and she also said there were "riots" in Sanford after the shooting, which there were not. There were peaceful protests and no rioting was seen or reported, no arrests made.

She went in with a prejudiced mindset.
quite a blunder on the part of the prosecution - (if they wanted to convict, that is...)

great way for the prosecution to avoid a conviction in a case they didn't wanted to bring to trial in the first place.
Why would the prosecution want to avoid - a conviction? nm.

They wanted to please everyone - Had a trial for Trayvon supporters
[ In Reply To ..]
Blew the trial to allow Zimmerman to be set free for the gun-owner and/or redneck voters.

The Trayvon supporters got the trial they wanted. Trouble is the results are flawed and I think it was a plan to appease the majority of Florida voters who are gun-owners. This has been discussed on CNN and HLN throughout the day and last night got really heated.
why would the same prosecutor charge a black woman with attempted murder - for firing warning shots in her own home?

(?) I would certainly want to ask Angela Corey this question if I had the chance.
And now that woman will sit in jail for 20 years. - Crazy. nm.

Prosecution had no choice - According to Angela Corey

Judge overruled their request to dismiss 2 women. Defense objected. Judge ruled in defense favor.

Sounds shady to me also. Angela Corey very defensive about seating jurors.
prosecution did not ask for juror B to be dismissed - nm

It was reported prosecution want 2 women off - who were on jury
[ In Reply To ..]
Because of the law and defense objections the prosecution was denied. Not sure who the 2 women were but a commentator/lawyer said it should have been the juror who gave the interview because of previous statements in pre screen of potential jurors including referring to Trayvon as boy of color and saying the protests in Sanford were riots. It was not a prosecution choice to have these 6 women on the jury.

Confused - Thought she said GZ was not guilty

What's her deal? If she believed the story she gave Anderson Cooper a new law would not have made a difference to her verdict.

She did. - She's all over the place.

[ In Reply To ..]
She also said he was guilty of "not using his senses" and that he "got the ball rolling" by getting out of the truck.

She reminds me of Zimmerman - Too eager to talk

[ In Reply To ..]
And gets tangled in lies/misstatements.

she's saying the law did not allow her to find him guilty - nm

Her interview said she did not think he was guilty - Double talking after bad feedback

[ In Reply To ..]
Honestly she put thoughts into GZ's mind that were never brought out in court when Anderson Cooper questioned her, like she was quite sure Zimmerman would have called the police on a white or Asian boy. She had no way of knowing this and if questioned at best she should have answered she had no way of knowing. So many telling signs of her prejudice for Zimmerman. Especially telling is her need to back-pedal today and to divert and excuse her decision, she asks for a new law.

Yeah, let the other family endure what their criminal sons - do to others

[ In Reply To ..]
let the other family endure the death of their son or daughter at the hands of a drugged gangsta. Let the other family's endure the loss of their child who is innocent and did nothing wrong except be beaten to death for no good reason. Children to never have fathers. Wives to not have their husbands. By all means juror B37, Zimmerman and others should have just laid there and not done anyone. And heaven forbit you try and protect yourself, but the criminal grabs for your gun first, let him have it so he can shoot you, after all the criminals family should not endure an accidental death of their son. That's all that matters.

Sheesh!

Zimmerman Juror Speaks Jul 16, 2013
Interesting the conclusions and ASSumptions this juror made in Zimmerman's favor.  She's either dumb as a rock or a stealth juror trying to further explain Zimmerman's story to go on national TV and tell her "story."  Also interesting is 3 jurors wanted to find Zimmerman guilty and they caved to find him not guilty.  Jurist said she did not believe Trayvon's friend, Rachael, could not understand her and found her not credible.  There was something condesc ...

I won't be buying it, but it would be interesting to hear what she had to say about the trial. From the description, it almost sounds like she regretted not being able to convict. ...

HLN Is Tearing Apart Juror's Reasons For Casey Anthony Not Guilty VerdictJul 13, 2011
Nor did they have the sliightest understanding of circumstantial evidence. What is funny to me is when the jurors try to justify their decision, they end up hanging themselves with their lack of knowledge of the case and the rules of the case.  Can't wait for next juror to speak up who contradicts or justifies decision based on misundertanding of rule clearly set out by Judge Perry. Clearly these jurors were misguided to say the least and uneducated at best. Maybe that is ...
