I don't know if anyone else feels this way

Posted: Oct 30, 2012

or not but I will be SO glad when this election is over.  I'm so tired of the ads and the constant bashing from both sides.  I'm sick of hearing stupid stories about Obama eating dog and Romney strapping his to his car.  I'm so tired of the rhetoric from both candidates with no direct answer from either of them.  I'm tired of the promises and finger pointing.  I'm just ready to be done with it!!  Come on Nov 6th!!!!  It can't come soon enough for me.  So tired of it all!!!!

;

Me too. I hate the whole election process. - Wish it was every 20 years, not every 4....

I will be so so so glad when it's over. It's nerve wracking for sure. The impending dread I feel if the outcome goes the wrong way, so I can't wait until it's finally done with.

I wish there would be no parties. I wish a person would just get hired on for the good things they have done, fired for the bad things. Get rid of the parties and you'd get rid of a lot of bickering from the "little" people.

I'm sick of the candidates, sick of the coverage, sick of the hysteria, sick of my own hysteria, just generally sick of it all. I feel like I'm going to burst a blood vessel.

The funny thing is that no matter who wins, I'll be relieved to have it over and past us. Then we can come together as a country and heal the wounds of the election by agreeing that whoever won is a miserable failure who hates America!

Nobody/nobody 2016.

You may have hit on the one thing we all agree on. :) - grits nm

Maybe you should find a diversion!!

I will never get tired of democracy in action!! This is history. This is America!

I missed the story about Obama eating a dog, but I have noticed that Romney has a different answer depending on who's asking the question, or maybe no answers at all, i.e., when asked in the face of a natural disaster if he would do away with FEMA as he said he would in the Republican debate, to which he had no response after asked 11 times, while bagging up canned goods for relief to Lower Manhattan...

And I also noticed his last ad was called a lie by the people he cited in the ad.

I want this week to drag on and on. I love democracy in action.

So far you are the odd man out. lol - Trigger Happy

As for giving different answers depending on who he is talking to and side stepping giving an answer altogether....President Obama is guilty of that too, my friend. They are politicians after all. ;)

No, I think Obama is consistent - bootstraps

There are many instances where Romney gives an answer that differs depends on who asks the questions. And he'll give an answer and his campaign will come back and say that wasn't what he meant. Or he'll give an answer that differs with the party platform which is a little confusing.

Or he'll say he won't deny anyone birth control, but the question is will he back insurance companies paying for birth control. Totally misleading, but if one doesn't dig deep...

I think on any policy question, Obama has an answer that is the same as it was last week, last month, last year. Can't say the same for Romney as has been proven over and over.

I don't care if I'm the odd man out. My olfactory senses are usually dead on.
one more thing I meant to say - bootstraps

It's gotten to the point where...okay, you don't agree with Obama, or like Obama, that's fine.

But I seriously have no idea what Romney believes or what he will do if/when he becomes President because I do keep up with him and know his record of inconsistencies. I just can't trust someone who gives multiple answers. He just doesn't seem like he has convictions. He says what someone wants him to say so he says it. I just don't see trusting someone like that to lead the country.

Odd out here, too. We do really need complete election reform. - Let's make the primary-general process 6 mont

tax-payer funded, cheap, so most of those ads are never made, limited to nasty websites that never need be opened.

Maybe $100 limit on private donations, illegal to even appear to push employees to donate. An END to money buying candidates into office and coercing them into compliance to keep their jobs. Serious prison terms for accepting private money, accepting paid-for trips to lobbying weekends etc.

Serious prison terms for vote tampering. Etc.

Wouldn't that be nice? A dem

Democracy yes. What is going on... - not so much - nm

Maybe you like bickering, fighting, name calling, lying.

I would prefer honest politics.

Way too much noise from both sides.

Coming to this board doesn't exactly help, either! :P

i would absolutely LOVE to see a real commercial! - backwards typist

All I see anymore are political commercials...first is the democratic then the republican or vice versa depending on the station.

At least the stations are bipartisan. LOL

We watched the Alfred Hitchcock 27-hour marathon on a local station yesterday and not a single political commercial. It was wonderful.

I didn't hear the story, but - grits

I read an NPR piece that mentioned a little girl crying because she was tired of "Broncobama" and Mitt Romney.

Poor kid; I feel her pain :D

everyday these issues bother me:  Abusers, neglect, perverts, laziness, gluttony, selfishness, liers, rudeness, bitchiness, uncaring.  Cannot read headlines, what people do to their kids and pets.  I wish for elimination of sickos.  I have trouble sitting here working all day knowing what goes on.  Haven't watched the news for months.  I feel like I'm fading away.  ...

Feels Like Hip Partial DislocationJul 15, 2015
Has anyone else had a pain when the hip joint of your foot pedal foot shifts out of place? My right foot turns out to the right from 30 years of using a foot pedal with it. I now use my left foot.  It is excruciating pain and I can't bear weight, but it usually resolver with a slight shift of foot position and no more pain. I think it's due to the position on the foot pedal all these years.   ...

Who Else Feels Like Voting This Year Is Choosing TheSep 28, 2012
Well I got my absentee ballot in the mail today and I sat and stared at it for awhile and thought about playing eeny-meeny-miny-mo....both of you are bad so I really don't know.   What scares me about Romney though is his whole deal on banning abortion (I realize he isn't as extreme as people are making him on the issue) and the planned parenthood cuts.  Um sounds like a mathematical equation of No abortions + No birth control for the poor = Increased welfare cases. &nbs ...
