I myself would prefer someone who could do basic math. Or at least someone who would hire an advisor who could do basic math. Or understood the basic principle that you have to stop spending in order to do anything about a deficit. I think maybe some of the are you smarter than a 5th grader alums might be available. As a matter of fact, all of us have done some stupid things in our lives and been laughed at, no doubt, but if we don't do those things on purpose to get a laugh, then we don't do them again. If we do them in order to get a laugh, and/or sympathy for being laughed at, then we continue.

It seems she is getting exactly what she is after. She is stupid like a fox. She has an agenda to polarize the nation as much as she can and she's using every trick in the book, including playing on people's sympathies when she gets a razzing.

But, she is definitely getting what she wants. If the issue is giving her attention and whether that is right or wrong, then of course, no one who talks about her, watches her TV show, or acknowledges her existence is right...obviously.

who handed the Dems their heads in the midterms. And a lot of that comes from the average folks in the flyover states who identify with her and are not thrilled with how Democrats/liberals/progressives treat her. Funny how their vote counts as much as yours, right?

Making fun of someone for something they cannot help like a birth defect or the way they look is cruel and uncalled for. However, making fun of someone who claims to be an experienced hunter and then makes a fool of themselves attempting to hunt is well deserved. If Palin hadn't lied about her hunting experience and pretended to be something she's not, no one would be laughing at her.

I usually don't comment on Palin stories, but I just have to say I watched part of 2 episodes of her show only because I have always wanted to go to Alaska and thought the scenery in the commercials was beautiful. Anyway, on the one episode, she was mountain climbing, which she was scared to death and clearly had never done it before. On a fishing episode where a bear came near them, she was also clearly scared and it appeared that she had never done that before. I'm not knocking her for that, but she can't try to make it like this is her everyday life. It is clearly not. I'm sure her husband does all this stuff in his life, but she appears to be an indoor computer person and not an avid outdoor person. Again, no knock to her, just the fact that she makes it like this is her normal life.
