Holy cow, Congressman Michael Grimm. Threatens

Posted: Jan 29, 2014

Did you guys see the video of this guy threatening to throw a reporter off a balcony? What a psychopath!

"I'm not speaking about anything's that off-topic, this is only about the president," Grimm told Scotto before walking away.

Then, while the camera was still recording, Grimm returned to say:

"Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I'll throw you off this f——-g balcony."

Scotto asked: "Why? Why? This is a valid question."

To which Grimm said: "No, no, you're not man enough, you're not man enough. I'll break you in half. Like a boy."

Video is in the link.

Republicans react that way when confronted with truth - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
It was after the SOTU. It parallels the behavior of the Republicans on this board. You confront them with the truth/ask a question, and they ignore, deny, try to use fear to threaten, have tantrums, and then cry that you did not play by their rules.

Sort of reminds one of - ALEC BALDWIN, eh?

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Congressmen should behave better - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
So should movie and music stars - who act as role models.
[ In Reply To ..]
To name a few, Alec Baldwin, Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Jay Z, Miley Cyrus. This does not excuse the Congressman's behavior. Nor does it excuse Weiner's, nor Clinton's, etc.
This is the politics board. Who cares about - movie stars?
[ In Reply To ..]
.
Let's talk about Weiner's behavior? What about Clinton's? - They are politicians!
[ In Reply To ..]
No excuse for any political figure's bad behavior. It's out of line.
This thread happens to be about Grimm. - But if you want to deflect,
[ In Reply To ..]
no one's stopping you! :) We can talk about Clinton and Weiner all the live long day, but Grimm just happens to be the "current" event and the subject of THIS thread.
Grimm's behavior was deplorable. So was Weiner's and Clinton's. - Next?
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
Well, I guess you've put your 2 cents in. - If there's something else
[ In Reply To ..]
you'd like to talk about (next?), you can certainly start a new thread.
What do you want me to say? - He is a thug.
[ In Reply To ..]
We're supposed to be a civilized society here. It's inexcusable. So is lying to the American people.
Yes, it was. They actually expect us to defend this (sm) - Abby
[ In Reply To ..]
type of behavior, just because he is a Republican. LOL - No, we are clear thinking individuals who know right from wrong, unlike some of our counterparts.
I don't recall anyone defending Weiner. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't think anyone expects the Republicans to defend Grimm. I guess I should say, I personally don't think anyone should be called out on this board to defend or to comment on any topic.

I think Weiner made a fool of himself and voters agreed. I thought Sanford made a fool of himself, but his Republican supporters/voters thought his behavior was acceptable. I remain very critical of that hypocrisy. IMO they did not represent clear thinking or understanding right from wrong.

Some of the "stars" mentioned are the - President's friends!
[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Last time I checked, Baldwin was NOT - a US REPRESENTATIVE NM

[ In Reply To ..]
N
No, he's a wannabe, but now a - has been.
[ In Reply To ..]
How can he be a democrat and against the gay community? That's not a very good democrat.
Who cares? - nm
[ In Reply To ..]

I would think the dems and the gay community care. - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
Not this dem. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't follow celebrities and couldn't care less about what stupid things they say and do. If Alec Baldwin is an idiot, I can hardly say that's surprising. And I really could not care less. He certainly does not represent me.
Good for you! I'm glad to hear that. - Sign me Conservative

ROTFLMBO!!! - Paleeze!

[ In Reply To ..]
Thanks for the laugh - that's a good one ;)

I think they need something else to concentrate on - after last night's letdown.

[ In Reply To ..]
nm
Yes - NK
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sure it was a big letdown for the Republicans to have to trot out 4 different people from various wings of the Republican party to deliver responses. Nothing like a united party.
No, on the contrary. - We were not let down whatsoever.
[ In Reply To ..]
It was nice to hear from some fresh voices.
I think the operative word is united. Why necessary to have so - many?
[ In Reply To ..]
I can't wait to hear from all those fresh voices in the primaries.
ANYTHING will be an improvement - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
over what we have now!!
We'll see what the voters have to say. Demeaning women, abuse of power, threatening - reporters, and
[ In Reply To ..]
being of the opinion that civil rights laws should not apply to private entities are not popular qualities that the general population of voters looks for in their elected officials.

I agree - that's why we'll see a great republican victory - Americans are tired of liberal tactics
[ In Reply To ..]
and the lies.
So, Grimm didn't threaten the reporter? That was a liberal lie? - and
[ In Reply To ..]
Chrstie isn't in the middle of a web of NJ corruption? And Huckabee didn't tell women to control their sex drives? The liberals concocted all of this?

Oh, and Mr. Grimm is also under investigation for accepting campaign contributions from foreign nationals which is against the law. That's why he got so upset at the reporter. He'll probably be history soon. But I guess the liberals are responsible for that too.

Americans won't fall for that spin.
Grimm is not running and he is not representative - Mrs. Tingles
[ In Reply To ..]
of all republicans.

Besides democrats have done the same thing.
Not only tired of liberal lies, - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
but tired of witnessing the desperation of this administration as evidenced by sending the IRS out in attack dog mode to target whatever group(s) the President feels is a threat to him and/or his party. It is embarrassing, to say the absolute very least.
IRS targeted both. President had nothing to do with it. Please source your - claim thx nm
[ In Reply To ..]
x
President "SAYS" he had nothing to do with it. - It's another of his scandals.
[ In Reply To ..]
Along with Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA. Have I left anything out?
Again, please source, otherwise you are just "saying." - NM
[ In Reply To ..]

"Source" is in every single American publication. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Holder is under fire today for the IRS scandal and how much he knew. Just google "IRS scandal" and see what pops up. Everytime we provide you with links, you don't like the links. So trust me, find any link you would like. They are out there. However, I doubt your MSNBC or like "journalists" would provide the same scope.
How many times do we have to explain. - Mrs. Tingles
[ In Reply To ..]
We do not do the "source baiting". We list a source and within seconds are bombarded with not credible, right wing, tin foil hat, etc, etc. It happens every single time. If people here are MTs then they know how to do their own research. The problem is many do not know how to research for independent sources. They are just comfortable sticking with their own biased propaganda resources and anyone who contradicts that are called all sorts of names.

Here's what I do if I question something someone here has written. I'll take their post and what they wrote and Google the heck out of it. Google certain words, certain phrases. Then you can find what you are looking for.

Also, just in case you don't know this, listing a source for everything we write is not a requirement. I have to say the funniest thing I saw here once was someone who gave their opinion and even wrote "in my opinion" and a liberal poster came back asking for his/her sources.
I did that (google) and only got hits for right-wing opinions - spin, etc,
[ In Reply To ..]
Nothing that said Obama asked the IRS to target TP groups. Both groups were targeted/searched by the IRS who took shortcuts to finding 501(c)3.

"The only known denial of tax-exempt status occurred to a progressive group."

So, again, if you have another source that factually states Obama was behind this, I'm all ears.
That's just the way things are. I can remember after President Bush's SOTU - there were multiple rebuittals
[ In Reply To ..]
So it's nothing new really.
I used to enjoy hearing the rebuttals - and still do.
[ In Reply To ..]
That is why we need a balance of power in this country. No to dictatorship and the mighty pen!
The difference being - NK
[ In Reply To ..]
that if there was more than one Democratic respondent to a SOTU it was a joint venture, not different factions of the same party going off on their own to deliver an independent response.
Who cares? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
It's good to not be one-dimensional. Geez.
It goes to show times are changing. - I like hearing different opinions
[ In Reply To ..]
Each of them are important. By the way the democrat party has a bunch of different factions of the same party also. No difference.

You mean it parallels the behavior of the liberals - on this board.

[ In Reply To ..]
Go ahead, want to insults a whole group of posters here again?

It certainly does! - They go beserk!

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Now THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is a "thug." - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
Scary guy! If the cameras hadn't been rolling, he may have tried to throw the reporter over the balcony.

Calm down and stop spreading conjectures - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
He didn't know the camera was rolling, otherwise he would not have acted like that.

Making something up like that is pure conjecture.

How does that make it better? But you're right because he did - the same thing

[ In Reply To ..]
during a studio interview by the news anchor at same station. He got violent after the interview and the news anchor requested that the producer never allow Grimm in the studio again.

He's dangerous, he's dirty, and he's a thug.

The charges the reporter was inquiring about had to do with charges regarding campaign funds. Apparently he accepted a whole sack of money from foreign nationalists and other illegal contributions.

I didn't say what he did was right. The guy's a slimeball - But....
[ In Reply To ..]
What I was responding to was the conjecture that if the camera wasn't on he would have thrown the guy over. It's obvious he didn't know the camera was on and he didn't throw the guy over.
This is the statement I was responding to - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
"He didn't know the camera was rolling, otherwise he would not have acted like that."

You didn't say anything about actually throwing the guy over. Obviously he wouldn't do that in any case, but a true barometer of character and whether or not someone is fit to represent Americans is how they act no matter whether the cameras are rolling or not.

Wow - Mrs. Tingles - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I think when politics get to be that much for anyone (parties have nothing to do with it), but when it gets to be that stressful, maybe it's time to start looking for another profession.

I have an idea....I'll take his job and he can come have my MT job. THEN we can talk about stress. LOL

Seriously though, if politics are too much for people to handle I think it's time to find something else.
