Hillary will not challenge PDA monopoly...

is in the regulatory crosshairs of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. She says she's had enough of their 'price-gouging' ways, and plans to 'reign in' their consumer-harming policies.
If you believe that, there's a bridge in the middle of nowhere to buy. The fact is, neither is Clinton going to "reign in" drug companies, nor is there a widespread problem with "price-gouging," as she claims. The truth lies somewhere in-between, but make no mistake about it: A President Hillary Clinton isn't about to attack a major benefactor.
The fact is, as noted in a newly released white paper by Natural News' partner site, News Target, which covers politics, technology and other subjects not dealt with here, Clinton is wholly owned and in the pocket of Big Pharma. In fact, the paper points out, she is the presidential candidate who has received the most in donations from pharmaceutical companies during the current election cycle.
Nevertheless, she is still pretending that she's the answer to skyrocketing drug prices and price-gouging by pharmaceutical firms, having laid out a 'major plan' to combat both issues if she wins in November.
What's more, the plan she laid out is telling in terms of what kind of president she would be: Like Obama, another Democrat, her approach to policy is the adoption of punitive, harsh regulatory measures that punish industries rather than implementing policies that empower industries to find their own free-market solutions which also benefit consumers.
Government needs to get out of the 'punishing industry' business
As reported by Zero Hedge, Clinton's "fairness doctrine" for Big Pharma involves an "aggressive new set of enforcement tools," including the levying of fines and imposition of stiff penalties on drug makers when some government bureaucrat self-determines that there has been an "unjustified, outlier price increase."
This is akin to government-imposed price controls, which is precisely what is going on down in Venezuela, where the people are now so poor, deprived and fed up with similar policies adopted by their government, they they just chased their president out of town, fearing for his life.
"Over the past year, we've seen far too many examples of drug companies raising prices excessively for long-standing, life-saving treatments with little or no new innovation or R&D," Clinton said in a statement.
In the past, lawmakers have refused to go along with government price controls on much of anything, but especially on drug companies. Most in office now are aware of one government-imposed pressure on the health industry in general – Obamacare – that is causing prices to spiral upward, for services, for insurance premiums and for drugs. In fact, nothing President Obama and fellow Democrats promised the law would accomplish – lower out-of-pocket costs, improve access to care and overall coverage – has come true.
Drug makers themselves have argued that government-imposed price controls are also impediments to research and development. But never fear; Clinton and her big government cadre know best.

I will take my chances with Hillary's plan:
Making alternatives available and increasing competition: Directly intervening to make treatments available, and supporting alternative manufacturers that enter the market and increase competition, to bring down prices and spur innovation in new treatments.
Emergency importation of safe treatments: Broadening access to safe, high-quality alternatives through emergency importation from developed countries with strong safety standards.
Penalties for unjustified price increase to hold drug companies accountable and fund expanded access: Holding drug makers accountable for unjustified price increases with new penalties, such as fines – and using the funds or savings to expand access and competition.
How can you twist the facts like that? They donated - to HILLARY CLINTON! Not

Trump.
It boggles the mind.
Hillary does not equate donating to payment for services - Unlike Trump

I saw a chart where the Mylan donated more to the Republicans in Congress than they did to Hillary. I guess they don't donate to Trump because it would be like flushing money down the toilet. Even big pharma doesn't do that.
Never gonna happen if Hillary is president. It's another dream world being pushed by her. (no m - Truthhurts

Bayer just merged with Monsanto. Talk about a monopoly. - CNN Money said this merger is this year's
[ In Reply To ..]
biggest "takeover"
"In addition to exercising greater control over the agricultural industry through every possible avenue, a Bayer-Monsanto merger would result in rising food prices due to a toxic monopoly over the marketplace. A monopoly on seeds will lead to higher prices for farmers, and inevitably, consumers. It is also very likely that fewer organic and GMO-free options will be available, should this merger be allowed to pass."
What do they mean "will lead to higher prices?" - Truthhurts

Monsanto is suing any farmer whose field may have been pollinated by their patented seeds. By nature, birds can drop Monsanto's seeds in other fields, pollination by birds, bees, and nature pollinate plants. If Monsanto sees their product in another farmer's field, they sue for patent infringement. So far, they haven't sued a lot of farmers but greed is constant with that company. For now, they're mainly suing if the farmer saves seeds from their GMO plants and uses them the next year.
The worse thing the courts could have done was allow Monsanto to patent their seeds. It's putting farmers out of business and big corporations buying up their farms.
Want GMO foods? Some are already here. Corn, soybeans, cotton (for oil), canola (also a source of oil), squash, and papaya. You could also include sugar beets, which are refined into sugar. GMO versions of tomatoes, potatoes, and rice have been created but aren't available yet (thank heavens!).
Our cattle is now eating GMO alfalfa. What do you think will happen to those who eat that meat in the future?
