And please, don't anyone try the excuse that he's ill, or having a stroke. There are many signs of intoxication besides the slurring, and he hasn't been hospitalized or treated medically since this episode, either.

[ In Reply To ..]Baucus made some very good arguments. The republicans are just jealous. They took a video from a liberal web site (Think Progress) showing an obviously tired Baucus and told their sheep he was drunk. The sheep all baa'd, "Oooo...drunk...bad dem! Don't listen to him!"

[ In Reply To ..]As someone who has administered many sobriety tests, I can tell you this man is drunk in public. As for his points, most of them were nothing but the same lies that he memorized when he was sober - much the same way that a souse can usually give a fair rendition of "Danny Boy" even when immersed.

Sorry if this is a repeat but I just saw it on the news yesterday because they did her sentencing. She only got 90 days with 6 months of house arrest. She was driving 37 kids on a school bus while she was drunk, all the while, the kids were pleading with her to stop. She kept saying she was fine and they kept telling her she wasn't.
