urine leakage

I have been really leaking urine lately. I've had 2 vaginal births, last one was 10-1/2 years ago, and have always, since then, had some problem with a little leakage, but it's gotten much, much worse. I can be up on my feet walking along (I'm usually not close to my home when this happens) and if I can't get to a bathroom just when the urge hits me to pee it just starts coming right on out and will continue to trickle out. i wear thick pads all the time for this very reason, but lately they haven't been enough, that's how much pee is coming out. It is really annoying and has become embarrassing of late. Any suggestions at all? Thanks very much.

[ In Reply To ..]This happened to my SIL after she had her babies. If you go to the doc, he can do a very simple surgical "fix." I think it was an outpatient procedure in the hospital. You will only miss one day of work.

[ In Reply To ..]She doesn't have any problem at all. No catheter, no meds, no pain, no anything. I think the doc told her it was her uterus pressing against her bladder because of a stretched muscle. I can't quite remember, but she's been perfectly okay ever since. Good luck.

[ In Reply To ..]It is probably a prolapsed uterus that the other person was talking about and the \"fix\" was probably a pessary. I think you should see your primary care doctor to make sure that you do not have a UTI or something else going on and then if it is a prolapsed bladder, they will probably refer you for a pessary.
