Does anyone else suffer from tinnitus?

Mine is a high-pitched, constant noise in my ears. It is worse in my left ear than my right. Some days it isn't that bad, but some days (like today) it is very loud and is driving me nuts!

I have an aunt who has Meniere's disease, and have heard that can run in families, but I do not have the associated vertigo that Meniere's has, just the constant noise.

If you have tinnitus, what have you found that helps? I'm sure having headphones on my ears 8 hours a day certainly isn't doing anything to help...lol.

I've been trying to eat healthier and am feeling a little better. I have been "tapering" so to speak off caffeine. The tinnitus started a couple of days after decreasing my daily amount. I have not had any caffeine at all in the past two days and the tinnitus today is so loud I have had to stop working. Has anyone else experienced this? I have this ongoing now for four days. I do not notice it when I am busy but when I go to bed at night, it is very annoying. I have tried an ear wax removal kit and it did not provide any relief. Anyone know of a home rememdy? Thanks in advance! ...
