Paralysis

Posted: Nov 29, 2010

Well after all these months being told I am crazy, i went to my previous primary care physician this morning after another one ignored me.  I have severely decreased leg reflexes, swollen and paralyzed facial muscles, must be Guallain-Barre. I have been like this for almost 5 months.    This has ruined my previous cervical laminectomy and now I face quadriplegia. I have been referred to another neuro but need to be in a hospital.  Please pray for justice, healing and a financial miracle.  I can barely walk, work or anything.  I know God is still the healer.  Thank you all and God Bless.

God Bless you Mary. I sometimes think its worse for MT's when we get sick, because we know exactly what can go wrong and how the doctors are not "idiot proof" after all. People DO get well in spite of that, though, and I'd cross my fingers that you are one of the lucky ones, but I've not got enough lines in yet today!! hahahha I will definitely say a prayer and send my good wishes your way!

Thinking of you - Christine

I have you in my prayers, Mary. Life can be so hard, and at times we become overwhelmed and so frightened. Just know that there are people thinking of you and wishing you the very best. I pray for your recovery.

Thanks Christine - Mary

I just don't know what this is. My head, face, gums, lips and all posterior spinal muscles are numb. I now have very decreased leg reflexes. This all started out with a numb head and moved down. I am still wondering about ALS and am seeing yet a 4th neurologist. I need to be in a hospital as I can hardly eat from facial weakness. My church is taking me for daily prayer. Thanks so much for your prayers. I know God hears them.

He truly does - Christine

Spinal Cord ParalysisSep 18, 2011
I am suffering from near quadriplegia but still typing as I can still barely feel my hands.  This may still be MS or just failed neck surgery.  Please pray for me as I know all of this is about to come to an end as I have lost function of my arms.  Please pray God will provide people and money for my needs and also a compassionate doctor.  I am terrified of my life right now and have no family to help.    I have had a good 30 years as an MT  and ...

Update On Oskar, The Doxie With The ParalysisFeb 28, 2011
So went back to vet, got referred to an orthopedic/neuro specialist, who said that even with surgery ($4200) Oskar only has a 50/50 chance of fully recovering.  He then said that an option was "putting him to sleep" but I told him I would only do that if he seemed to be in pain, which he does not.  Why is euthanasia always an "option" with some vets?  That is what they suggested I do when I first got him because he was deaf.  We wouldn't put a person "down" just because ...
